Well, OP said everything pretty much. That the gun's power comes at cost of your risk and vulnerability. You have to expose yourself for long time,to get results. And the gun comes only 1 and 3/4 backup magazines,which further endanger you by forcing you out of cover to refill ammo,which you have to do very often. This all must justify it's huge power,  as well as UR status and difficulty to obtain.

I think the Typhoon needs both of it's original stats back, damange AND penetration. I hate Bioware for what they have done to this gun.

I didn't see the point in the nerf in the first place. ARs have always been underpowered (compared to weapons that can fire strong single shots and then hide back in cover), and finally a good one comes out and it gets bumped to be equivilant with the Revenant, making it a gun you will never use until you get one leveled up to equal your Revenant.

And any weapon that has a downside of having to expose yourself to fire for a long period of time should have an upside of being extremely effective.

Change are fine, before you guys could wreck havock in plat with your typhoon I and now you can't, wich is normal for a lvl I, go for lvl X and then we will see if it's still crap as you think.

Bumping as well. I never got the typhoon mind you (only gun I'm missing).

I've heard some weird things about the gun on both ends of the spectrum of possibility. Gun shield protecting character from head shots (seems logical but I didn't even know we could be head-shotted), it apparently firing cartridge ammunition given the flying casings. reports of it being very accurate or very inaccurate. saw the insanity of it's pre-nerf penetration (seriously that had to go and we all knew it) and so forth.

Regardless of it's actual capability it seems that all rapid fire/automatic weapons in the game are lagging behind in damage and or dps. I think it says something when the the butt of a gun becomes more potent a weapon then the gun itself.

I still really want to get it.

You realize that probably less than 90% of the people that own/have owned ME3 have a Rank X UR weapon?

I have a lvl X & can safely say that it is not worthy of it's UR status after the nerf & the damage reduction is noticeable in a big way in gold/platinum <_<

To have a Typhoon X you need to spend tenth of millions of credits. Easier to say than actually do,it is not an uncommon weapon.

Yeah, and now a platinum with randoms is even more nightmarish than before,all you get from such games are spoilt nerves.

I don't know the rules made by BW for this. But i have seen countless posts in other threads whre people have asked the OP to put "Official Petition" in caps in the title at the beginning to make it official.

Fine with your points, but one thing:

It's not an official petition, adding "Official" makes it sound petty and whiny, as many do. Kindly remove it from the title to stop some of those with less tolerance to mistakes like that just ignoring the post.

as for the full topic, buff up the Typhoon again, weaken the Turian Soldier, N7 Destroyer and Geth Infiltrator classes. They make the playing field too diverse, meaning that weapons like the Typhoon are unjustly nerfed for the sake of a couple classes being amazing with them, while everyone else uses it to decent/below average effect. Look at sniper rifles prior to TC nerf, they were below average in terms of DPS on most classes, but since everyone used them with infiltrators, it seemed as though the snipers were really OP, when it was actually the classes massive damage output doing all the work.

my point was, from the start at lvl I, the gun was way to powerfull and to overpower at X.
with the change, the power climbing from I to X is good.
Does every UR was that powerfull at I ?no, none.

I usually have nothing against the nerfs - but this one was unnecessary imo. The gun was just fine, especially considering it was UR.

make it the way it was. I just got the Krysae and it's terrible, I's rather use the Indra and that gun is awesome now.
