Well maybe not, but it does prove EDI is killed in the destroy choice, or did you kill her before charging the beam?
EDIT: Re-read OP. EDI killed by destroy. Good work OP!
It would prove EDI died were it not for the floating name plate. Unless part of the red Kool-Aid gave everyone biotics. Because that makes a ton of sense.billzo wrote...
So yeah, even the Extended Cut was an unfinished product.
Well, either that or IT. Unfortunately, the believability of cutting corners on the product designed to fix the cut corners stretches the imagination in its absurdity to the point of making Occam's razor useless.
Doesn't High EMS destroy prove that destroy kills her anyway? Incidentally, when I picked the control ending here, she was there next to Joker on the Normandy and then again off it, and then again at the wall.

There were people (in a thread long ago) that claimed that EDI could emerge with Joker from the Normandy at the end of destroy. Numerous attempts to disprove this were made by trying to isolate EDI into being the only possible survivor at the end of destroy. You made definitive proof that Bioware intends for EDI to die in the destroy ending.

Oh ok then. People can be stupid like that.

i will link this thread to everyone who will discuss that devs can't overlook some parts of the game and all those who can't believe of reused game assets saying that "there is a reason it is here".
looking at you Major Coats..

The Normandy Wall scene is definitely a bug. It is meant to be Traynor, but the game seems to get confused because so many squaddies are dead.
The rest, like Joker talking to himself as the Crucible activates, and leaving the ship on his own, are not bugs, they're there because every squaddie is actually deceased.
I still prefer Joker having biotics as my story, though.

I've never seen a "mid-EMS" ending variation.

This part I got, too, and all my squadmates are alive. My brother, who made basically the same decisions as me throughout the game, got Garrus talking to him. Weird.

You would have had a bug. It is meant to be done by the squadmate the player has the highest relationship score with. You missed out yours because of a glitch, I missed mine, because well... there was no one alive left to do it lulz.

Thank you so much for this video.

This is just about as bad as you can get without refusing or vaporize. I think Mid-EMS Destroy is a bit less damage to Earth, and Hackett is a bit less bleak. There are actually loads of variations on Control and Destroy
That said, finding anything but Vaporize and perfect destroy is extremely hard on youtube.

Poor joker he's so shook up by the deaths hes talking to himself. Quite impressed if he repairs the Normandy by himself or he might go mad and play with shepards toy ships.
Well he's not entirely alone, as you can see from that final shot of the ship. But he is the only non-anonymous member of the crew left.

The floating nameplate is pretty hilarious... but Joker standing alone in a broken Normandy and stranded on an isolated planet is just incredibly sad.
Well actually, it only looks that way, in the final shot you see the entire crew repairing the Normandy. They're all the anonymous grunts you ignore the entire game. They can't be seen in the other parts of the EC.

Floating nameplate...and, if everyone, including Liara, is dead, how can she set her plan with her device in motion?
It was deployed before the final battle in case they failed to defeat the Reapers.

We don't know that for sure though. Maybe. But so many questions arrive from this. It's too much to think about. I applaud the guy/gal who went and made this vid and brought this topic up. Just plain Win.
