Er, first of all, which of my posts do you consider as trolling? I just said that this stuff will drop eventually. As for low rates there is nothing you can do about it.

That said, you have ZERO of the new so-called "Uncommon" Earth DLC Gear (0/20) and are an impressive 6 for 35 when it comes to the so-called "Rare" Earth DLC Gear. 6 of 55. Thank you for the great laugh.

And so what? It doesnt prevent me from getting fun playing multi with friends.

1. Items of the same nominal rarity should have the same drop rate. However, this is obviously not the case, because it seems that the replacement algorithm for char cards is significantly affecting rare gear loot.
2. Definitons of fun may vary between different players.
3. Definitons of fun may vary between different players.

Let's start a strike and let Bioware know
If you're tired of messed drop rates turn your feedback off except when operations are active and let them know via twitter/facebook

I guess the problem is the way in which RNG specifies the total amount of items to make choice of.
There are 68 (without increased medigel capacity and similar) rare items: 18 guns, 5 mods, 24 characters and 14 gears + 7 consumables. If you look at my manifest you'll see I've maxed every rare item except 7 new gears. Using the common sense, RNG should take the number of items left to get (7 gears) and the number of items cannot be maxed (7 types of consumables), so there'd be a 50% chance of obtaining gear.
But as far as I can see RNG takes the TOTAL amount of all rare items, thus my chances are "slightly" lower - only 7/68*100%=10.3%. And what's next? If you have only 1 gear type to get, you'll have a huge 1/68*100%=1.5% chance instead of 12.5%. Are you kidding me, BioWare? Didn't you forget about URs chances which are ~10% from PSP?
Sorry for my english, hope you've understood me.

I know he's been having a fun time getting lv 4 consumables like I am, It's been non stop for a lot of people. I have been getting uncommon gear to drop a little better in vet packs since SP and SPS seem to be a complete waste of time. I have contacted Bioware about the constant drops of lv 4 consumables and it seems to be nothing wrong with the store to them.

This. I've been trying to unlock all of my Uncommon items to max, but the game insists on giving me Rare Gears. That, and Cryo Ammo III.

It's frustrating that Bioware won't comment on this. It's clearly an issue if we have players that have all of their UR's unlocked, but are still missing some Earth DLC Gear.

I don't really want to spend any more credits, because the drop rate is horrible.

I would bet my 6,608,750 credits that you'll level your "Ultra-Rare" weapons to X before he levels his so-called "Uncommon" and "Rare" Earth DLC gear to V.

I have no problem with Gear dropping at random. Heck, getting an UR in a Pack was always like getting the present you wished for on your birthday. But with the Earth Gear it's just become frustrating. Just to ckeck I spent 1,7mil credits yesterday on SP and got a whopping three "uncommon" and two "rare" new Earth gear. I've had better UR drop-rates than that...

Edit: sig should work now.

Says the person who is posting almost exclusively insults directed towards other forumgoers on the bases of their manifests?

Because, that's constructive, logical and infallible, and actually contributes to a conversation.

I'm pointing out that they are wrong in claiming that they aren't being affected by this issue. So yes, that is constructive. Thanks for noticing! Next?

Bioware is not officially replying in the forums, that means that the store is broken
So many people are having issues that the randomness explaination is no longer acceptable

Exactly.  And they don't want to draw attention to the problem, because people might hold off on buying packs until it's fixed, if it ever is.  BioWare is being dishonest by continuing to offer these items while misrepresenting their true rarity.

No, it's an argument against the person, insulting, and anything but constructive. There are more tactful ways of discussing the issue may -- or may not, given the highly random nature of the unlock system coupled with unclear explanations from TPTB of how reinforcement packs work -- be universal without deriding people for their manifests, especially when you couple it with commentary that can be boiled down to "you don't know what you're talking about, so shut up".

For all anyone knows, given gear's persistence, the fact they give pretty substantial bonuses for that, and universality, gear drops are intended to be this rare, rebellion's drop rate could have been higher than intended which created false expectations, and the system as it is now is working as intended as BioWare reps have said. And as such, there is no "issue". Yeah, it sucks if you like and want lots of gear drops, but at least you have something for which to keep playing; whether that's a meritorious argument is a matter of opinion, but that doesn't change the way it is.

That's especially true when proliferation of rank IV equipment, a "guaranteed" drop, is contrasted with gear drops which aren't. No kidding that "guaranteed" drops are more commonplace than random drops.

When/where did BioWare reps say the store is working as intended?

Here's a useful test for gear drop rates. Buy 10 recruit packs, 10 vet packs, 10 spectre packs, and 10 psps. See which if any gives you gear, and which type. PSPs don't seem to pay out. Stop hoping for gear from them.

Try 5 if you don't have credits stockpiling.

I've bought way more than 10 of each in the past couple of weeks.

Recruit - no gear

Veteran - no gear

SP/PSP - Rare gear drop rate seems to be about the same as UR drop rate.  Perhaps slightly higher.  Uncommon Gear drop rate definitely lower than UR drop rate.

The only statement I've seen with regard to Gear in the store post-Earth DLC is the balance change where they said they fixed a bug where certain Uncommon Gear wasn't appearing in packs AT ALL.  I haven't seen any statement about the store working as intended.  But maybe humes spork knows something we don't.
