It is nice to know that MP gets showered with free DLC while single player only got one. Oh well I guess. i am still gonna buy it.

MP and SP DLC are being worked on by different teams.
EC postponed SP DLC development.
SP DLC require more work with level design, writing and voice acting.
MP have unlocks and microtransactions, with SP DLC you can get all of it with one payment.

I understand your point, and I also understand his. You don't care what your paying for, you just want more Mass Effect. There's nothing wrong with that. He wants to have an idea of what he's paying for. I think that's a reasonable question.

I'll be honest, nothing about that trailer made me want to get this DLC. It just looks like more corridor shooting.

I guess premium spectre packs aren't making Bioware rich enough after all.

I payed i think 80 bucks in my digital collectors edition to have these extra stuff, like ``youre are getting for free the ashes dlc``, free and they charge extra 30 bucks for extra content.

Free is just a illusion.

PLUS THE INDRA IN THE LAUCHING OF THE GAME IT WAS FREE, for anyone who enter in alienware site i think... hmm...

What you are asking is for bioware to spoil the entire story of Leviathan so you can justify a purchase. What if Bioware added another ending with this DLC, we don't know because if we did that would spoil the experience. Right now all we know is that we are going to learn more about the Reapers, which is something I have been wondering about since ME1. The rest is a mystery. Yea there is a risk DLC won't effect the game's story at all but the same can be said about the other extreme and it will change a great deal. There is that kind of risk in all purchases we make, whether be going to a movie or buying a book or anything else like that. Bioware has made mistakes in the past but its successes out weigh them at least in my mind, so I got no problem giving Bioware the benefit of the doubt and giving ten bucks to play there next creation.

I highly doubt they're adding a new ending with this new DLC. If they were, I'm pretty sure it would be one of the bulleted selling points. Something like: a new outcome of the Reaper war, or uncover a resource that could turn the tide. Bioware would be really stupid to not hint at a new ending. The lack of an enjoyable ending (for some) is one of the main factors that will hurt the sales of this DLC.

I am just trying to make a point, that the journey of discover is more fun then just knowing.

But the problem with this is that the mass majority of players will outright question if it is indeed worth flushing $10 for something that will give you brief happiness, only to screw you over when you realize that it really doesn't mean anything.  I mean, yeah, this DLC will probably sell alotta copies, but there comes a time when one has over 20,000 War Assets, and is still getting slammed with the "fate is hopless" endings, they begin to wonder what the actual [censored] is wrong with Shepard and the Space Races under his command.

I may get this DLC after i finish off paying for Borderlands 2 and Resident Evil 6, even if it doesn't change much, but in the long run this seems like bad buisness practice to sell DLC to the mass audiences other than the mindless fanboys.

The trailer doesn't look tempting; it felt like Arrival - solo Shep, a lot of shooting, a whit of dialogue. As for origins of Reapers, what more do I need to know? They're just machines programmed to harvest evolved races for shoddy reasons.
All in all, I look forward to see what you've up your sleeve, BW. I hope my gut feelings are wrong and it'll be LotSB-like and there will be ME2Shep instead of autoShep.

I've passed on ME2 appearance packs, same goes for this guns' pack. Being it sold as a stand-alone addition, it isn't of any value. Good for guys who wanted it, though.

Personally, I would of liked a post ending DLC involving playing as one of the surviving squad mates or a new character dealing with the issues after the loss of Shepard such as fragments of other races causing uprising conflict with no fear of Reaper involvement plus the option of attempting to rescue Shepard should you got that buried in the rubble ending, control and synthesis choices could see the alliance involved in a struggle with members other races struggling with either of Shepards decisions.

They really should stick with the free DLCs after the ending fiasco.

I think they put it the free Multiplayer DLCs to butter us up. Had those DLCs never happened, then this would most likely have been free. Either way, I'll still get it and the Firefight Weapons Pack just to make my Insanity run a bit easier even though I heard it was already ridiculously easy.

No.

Free MP DLC s how they make their money in MP.

Exactly. And knowing that the single player weapon pack includes 5 weapons we got for free through the MP DLCs, we would be actually paying for 2 weapons for a dollar each, while the scenario DLC could probably be overpriced and won't change a thing to the ending of the game.

It's not like they're losing money with so many people purchasing their stuff through MP's online shops, and Mass Effect 3 is still being sold like hot breads now that EC is out and will *soon* add the Wii U's gains to it. In my opinion, after all the Endings & Retake fiasco, it would be best for this game only to have all the remaining DLCs for free.

People will still be able to purchase stuff through the MP's online stores. This is my opinion only and I'm pretty certain someone way better and higher than me will say otherwise, but I really think they should stick to the free DLCs just for ME3. I'm pretty sure if Leviathan would've been free, Retakers would've been happier. I can already hear most of them: "Why are you making us pay for the Single Player DLCs when Multiplayer fans already had a bunch of free DLCs? This is so unfair!" See my point? I do understand that the company could be in hot waters right now, but there's still time to discuss about this with the fans who are still upset with the endings fiasco.

Another way to fix the weapon pack DLC problem would be to make the "multiplayer ones" free to purchase and the two new guns sold in a separate pack.

Even though I sort of knew this was coming - gotta say I'm disappointed and upset with where Bioware is going lately with DLC like this. I want to support you guys I really do. I want your games to be great and any expansion material to be just that... but this sort of DLC is just wrong.

You do not seperate central story material and sell it off later as an add-on. Anything that goes into detail about the Reapers origins either needed to be included in ME3 from the start or later in a full sequel. Folks shouldn't have to download, much less buy, a DLC months afterward to fill in the gaps of the main story. I don't get the logic of this at all. You guys claim you want to make these games accessible to everyone, even new players, yet here you are doing the exact opposite. This is disservice to all fans and all possible fans as you are deliberately excluding people from core storyline content again. Is the miniscule $10 really worth it? Honestly if I didn't know any better I'd say you guys are almost  trying to destroy the series or something at this point.

And I'm not saying I want "Free DLC" either okay. I know full well it takes time and effort to create any game content. I do not expect any Expansion Material to be free. Though oddly enough this hasn't stopped you from offering several multiplayer packs for free. So folks who play the multiplayer get everything on platter but those of us who just want to play the singleplayer are SOL? Seriously what is this? Are you trying to drive away your singleplayer fanbase? Sure seems like it.

I'm just at loss for this kind of callous greed. It is making it extremely difficult for me to even consider myself a fan anymore as I feel obligated to urge folks not to support you in such cases. Since you obviously do not have the best interest of your fans at heart anymore as far as I can tell. I sincerely hope you will see reason before you lose anymore of the fanbase you then already have.  And if not... so be it.

lol, at the "Summer 2012" release date for Leviathan. It's almost autumn...

This is good though, but why were the Striker and Kishock left out of both DLCs? Seems like the Harpoon Gun would have been fitting for an oceanic adventure.

But you payed for the N7 weapons... I could kind of  understand your anger if they were giving out those weapons. Why do you think you deserve a discount?

I'm super excited for new SP DLC, and of it helps explain some of the reapers backstory it may even affect our *understanding* of the ending if nothing else.

All this bellyaching that it should be free because the ending initially wasn't well liked by a number of folks is frankly ridiculous. They went and rectified the situation, obviously not to everyone es satisfaction but that was never going to happen.

I would love to see people allowing others to be *happy about new content without pithy remarks about how much we should realise bioware owe us. They owe us nothing, we owe them nothing. We buy, they supply.

But for a serious question, for hose who never want anything to do with Mass Effect again, why are you haunting the halls of Mass Effects forum?

Because its not fair we pay for what we alredy have, and if i remember when the second dlc for the multiplayer was release there is a way to get the MP weapons in SP using a save editor, but a few days later bioware change it so we cant use this weapons in the campaign. So for the firefighter pack you`re actually paying a dollar for each of the new guns.

And you can bet in the future there will be a N7 Pack Weapons for 5 dollars or any price they want to charge.

Kind of bs that they are charging for the weapons. Seeing as how they were free in the multiplayer DLCs so they are pretty much already in the game, just making a transition. At least they are cheap though
