Typhoon and Piranha would break singleplayer. Unless you want Bioware to "balance" singleplayer too...
You're kidding right? It's singleplayer... a non-competitive mode....and unless it's OHK on every weapon with infinite ammo, it's hard to break singleplayer when they both have downsides. Not to mention, that argument is just as absurd as people whining about "overpowered weapons" in a cooperative-horde mode that is multiplayer (if it was PvP, it would be different...). Seriously, just tried the falcon the other day and since the nerf stick has become near useless and pathetic (but this is another topic).
The striker/falcon/valiant already "broke" singleplayer in my experience, so it wouldn't really be as drastic as you make it out to be. <_<
Edit: Would have been nice if they allowed us to mod the weapons into singleplayer, but now I understand why

Reapers origin? Really? Isn't this is exactly what should have been already covered in game?
I thought we were unable to comprehend the existence of the Reapers. They have no beginning or end, they are infinite, or so says Sovereign in your conversation with it back in ME1. The Reapers have been this great mystery, the epitome of pure evil. I would be completely satisfied not knowing the Reaper's past. Not knowing makes them a much more terrifying force, yet somehow if we had an ending where we were able to defeat them because we were unified as a galaxy, as no other cycle has been before, it would have totally fit with the main underlying theme of the story since game 1. Victory through unity, succeeding over impossible odds. Bioware, in my opinion, already ruined the reason behind the Reaper existence in that garbage ending taking the lazy way out. How much more can they muck this up? We'll soon find out I guess.
Not really tbh since there are several moments before the ending where you can betray allies e.g. genophage and allow the destruction of entire species (Rachni/Geth) but this is to be disscused else where

I knew it was only a matter of time before they released paid DLC, for SP nonetheless. It definitely reminds me of ME2.
At least ME2 DLC was playable post-SM. Not sure how that is possible with this DLC with anyone but Destroy "Good" Ending survivors.

I understand paying for new weapons, but paying for weapons in MP for SP?
PC users can mod their files, only for the Resurgence I think, but still, not fair to console users. When all it takes is a few code changes and weapon additions, dumb move BioWare.

Yeah I'm looking forward aswell, but "something powerful enough to kill a Reaper" will just most likely be +300 EMS and you still have the same ABC choice with absolutely no difference. I'm not asking a whole new ending, just that it would have more impact on them than just EMS. The Catalyst scene does have a couple of lines more dialogue but yeah...Greed1914 wrote...
Overall, I think I'm looking forward to this, but there are two problems. For one, I'm sure that the secret of whatever might be able to kill the Reapers won't amount to much of anything because Bioware is determined to maintain the artistic integrity of the Catalyst. The other problem is that one of the weapons included does me no good. I already have the Argus rifle as a pre-order bonus, so there's that.
I'm just worried it's going to be a one hour shooting gallery with some dialogue supporting the Catalyst and Synthesis.

QFT.
BioWare can add as much content before the endings as they want, I simply dont care anymore. Why should I? Every single "weapon of Reaper destruction" I could find is worth nothing, since the endings will happen regardless.

Likewise. The whole premise of the DLC is eroded by the fact the endings are so damned awful. Why bother trying to acquire war assets in the fight against the Reapers when we know no matter what we do, or how hard we try, it has zero impact on the conclusion?

I see it includes 2 of the 3 pre-order weapons(AT12 Raider shotgun and M55 Argus),but couldn't you have included the N7 Valkyrie as well?
Exactly what I said and want to happen but with the inclusion of the N7 heavy armour.

Multiplayer and singleplayer are different halves of the game, that are becoming increasingly separated from each other. The EC changed the EMS requirements for the breath scene to be doable with no multiplayer, and many of the hardcore multiplayer guys never promote their characters, and didn't even before the change. So really, they might as well be two different games at this point. Bioware tried to unify the fanbase by tying multiplayer into the game experience, but the anti-multiplayer sticks in the mud complained too much, so they had to divorce it from the singleplayer to the point that it has no real effect anymore. Thus, I'm not surprised that they don't just assume that you have these weapons from the multiplayer, since singleplayer is practically a different game now anyway.

Because it's fun?
Doesnt anyone play games just for that reason anymore?
But yeah, seriously, I get your point and how it'd make sense for you not to get the DLC. I wanna play some more ME3, that's not multiplayer, and learning something else about the reapers will be fun. For me here is no loss, but hey that's the bonus of DLC, not everyone has to play

Heh, true. All the races allied, some "Reaper killer" and whatever the future DLC's add - but probably still no difference at all.ol MISAKA lo wrote...
But the problem with this is that the mass majority of players will outright question if it is indeed worth flushing $10 for something that will give you brief happiness, only to screw you over when you realize that it really doesn't mean anything. I mean, yeah, this DLC will probably sell alotta copies, but there comes a time when one has over 20,000 War Assets, and is still getting slammed with the "fate is hopless" endings, they begin to wonder what the actual [censored] is wrong with Shepard and the Space Races under his command.
Honestly they just needed more of those Alliance Cruisers to "win conventionally" as in the cinematic one shot off two of the Reapers legs before getting destroyed. Tho the cinematic also showed us maybe hundreds of them but they just stayed back. So just a few of them should have shot at the Reaper simultaneously at close range as it also looks like they can't hit anything when barraging from a distance.
I doubt anything will ever come even close to LotSB.RinuCZ wrote...
I hope my gut feelings are wrong and it'll be LotSB-like and there will be ME2Shep instead of autoShep.

will buy weapons pack also when Leviathan arrives (maybe my only chance to try Harrier 'cause I can't get it in mutiplayer...)
Question: To play Leviathan DLC, will it be necessary to play whole SP game from beginning or could I start just this DLC?
