$10 for a single mission that was cut from the game and has no real effect on the terrible ending? No thanks. Buying this DLC would encourage Bioware to continue cutting important or interesting sections of the single player for a later cash in with future releases. It would also send a message that I would blindly continue to give Bioware money after the absolute failure of both DA2 and ME3. Buying this DLC will give Bioware the impetus to put even less effort into future games. A Reaper voice isn't enough to sway me. Hopefully enough players feel the same to force Bioware to improve.

Where did you get the information that this was cut from the game during development?  Because making a wild-ass guess about such things just makes you a troll.

They started developing this after ME3 was released and it's been reported that this DLC does affect the ending.

I'm getting Leviathan, I want to play some more SP.
Couldn't care less about the weapon pack, though.

"Leviathan can run anywhere from three to four hours... as I mentioned it's all about exploration. It's all about, you know, scaling the galaxy."
-

"Search for Leviathan"
"No sign of Leviathan at these coordinates."
"These coordinates match our trace of Leviathan."

-

I foresee a lot of planet-picture-clicking ("scanning").

You know the ending didn't bother me that much, I didn't hate auto dialogue, but the fraking frak of the 'scanning missisons were fraking well the most frakingest fraked up thing ever!

I'll be pissed if there is more of that!

10$ for 3-4 hour DLC? Better spend twice more (19.99$) for Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition - a lot more gamlpay.
I must be honest this crappy ending prevent me from replaying ME3. I even dont play ECDLC.

lol, if there's one thing DA2 and ME3 have taught me it's to wait for user and independent critic reviews before buying.

If they praise it as the next LOTSB DLC I'm in... If it's just another ''Witch Hunt'' DLC they can forget about it.

Exactly! I hope that none of the people that have written "I will immediately buy this" are not amongst those who have been super-critical about ME3. That would be awful:

Pre-ME3:        "I will immediately pre-order this!"
Played ME-3: "You ruined Mass Effect - die Bioware die!"
Pre-DLC:        "I will immediately buy this!"
Played DLC:  "Y U SCREW ME AGAIN BIOWARE! I HOPE U GET AIDS!!!"

So yeah I hope that those that have declared their 100% commital to this DLC even before it's been released are exclusively the ardent fans that didn't spend ages complaining about ME3.

As for those that are so disenfranchised with ME now that we won't buy the DLC but still haunt this forums for some bizarre reason (yes I am one of you) I think it's time we stopped going on about the endings all the bleeding time. It's over. We already knew that this DLC was not going to have anything to do with the endings, so there's no point bringing it up here.

Does the the DLC come out as the same time the weapons pack does? Or is there a separate release date for each one?

And also it was "cut" from the EC DLC, soooooo...... how is that telling them that its ok to half ass a game? From Ashes, ill give you that but it was like that in ME2 for there DLC. But here, in the real world, someone sets a deadline and you have to meet it or pay up. I'm in construction and did a DQ and we were a day behind due to unforeseeable circumstances.from the county and they charged us 5000 for one day. So I don't mind paying for "cut" DLC. Every one in the world has deadlines and every ones trying to make a buck. Not marketing, but once your old enough to realize how the world spins, you'll see it not pats on the back and good jobs. Its money and BW and EA are in the same boat as every one else, just on a larger scale. And I for onenwill be buying and playing the crape out of the new and future DLC.

Quote from the gameplay video.

"Search for Leviathan" stuff from the .TLK files we have on our computers.

Maybe it is a bad thing for you, and that's fine, but some others enjoy the MP. Including me.

They already compared it to be like LotSB, but I just can't believe it.
One of the great things about LotSB is that it showed Mass Effect stretching its legs in a sci-fi setting without
"REAPERS REAPERS REAPERS" being shouted into our ears the whole time. I just like character-driven storylines. :P

Dekuuna: Elcor Extraction
"The elcor have requested an emergency extraction for warriors and civilians trapped on their homeworld of Dekuuna. Search for survivors on Dekuuna, rescue them if possible, and return to the elcor ambassador."

Mission walkthrough:
Listen to the elcor diplomat on the Citadel. Use your galaxy map to travel to the Phontes System in the Silean Nebula. Click around Dekuuna. Return to the elcor diplomat on the Citadel. Recieve 5 Reputation and 120 experience.
Oh the excitement and the sense of accomplishment in ME3 scanmissions! :wizard:

No problem. It's made by steeljoe on dA.

"Completing the downloadable content creates an additional rift in your ending."
...
"Leviathan is, at any rate, an enjoyable new story segment in Mass Effect 3's elaborate tale. I'm still unconvinced it's necessary -- after all, my Mass Effect 3 story is over, I know how it ends, and I didn't need a Reaper-killing monster to help me out. I'm curious what difference it'll make, but not enough to replay the entire game."

Mitch Dyer @ IGN

---
I'd guess the "additional rift" might be the couple of added lines for the Catalyst and maybe some ending picture slides. Maybe even a few second cinematic, who knows.

Hmmm when I first heard the DLC was called Leviathan I thought it might be in reference to the Leviathan of Dis. I'll probably get it regardless. Bioware can shut up and take my money for good DLC regarding Dholen & whatever Parasini & the Quarians were so interested in dark energy for, or taking Omega back.
