@RinuCZ,

Thanks for pointing out the link.

Hard enough to trawl through all the posts; even harder with the search engine that the BSN is burdened with.

Cheers!

If the new DLC will be as good as the shadow broker DLC in ME 2 thenn it will be worth playing and paying for......Other wise now there is frankly no point....Might as well start making a new game called Mass Effect :Origins..........or the Mass effect Evolution.....

The Shadow Broker DLC was very good, i enjoyed so much.

YAY for more plot holes! I don't see how this will fit in with the end of the game.

I will probably download it just for the content and achievement completion, but still.

Any single player DLC is kinda of pointless already knowing how the game ends. In all retrospective, none if it really matters.

I will be buying it the same day it comes out because...well it's Mass Effect. But I do hope the squadmates aren't silent through the whole thing like Overlord and Shadow Broker, I'm quite optimistic because DA2 brought back the VA's for their DLC.
I am slightly worried that they are gonna ignore some of the stuff they put in the series about The Leviathon of Dis. In the trailer it says 'Something powerful enough to destroy a Reaper...' this suggests that 'Leviathan' killed another Reaper but if it's not working with the other Reapers why did it indoctinate the Batarians, even if this was just an act of self-defence or something, how did the Reapers know to attack the Batarians first? It's just I hate it when they change the lore in games to suit a sequel or a new bit of DLC, but anyway, thoughts, opinions? Am I just reading too much into this?

You know the reasons the Reapers attacked the Batarians first was because they entered their space first not because of Leviathan. Where are you getting your info from?

I am thinking that Leviathan was the thing that destroyed the Reaper Shep stole the IFF from in ME2.

What, the first civilization the Reapers attacked just happened to be one that had no allies and whos highest ranking political and military leaders had been indoctrinated? That's a hell of a coincidence. Surely anyone would assume it was a tactical choice.

The Reaper Shep got the IFF from was shot by a very large mass accelerator weapon, TIM says this in ME2. I think it also made 'The Great Rift' on Klendagon. Anyway, unless they say TIM was lying and they change the lore Leviathan couldn't have.

Of course, logically, we'll know how it fits into the end of the game when we play it.

Spoilers!!!!!!!!! Don't read if you didn't play the arrival DLC for ME2

No, in the DLC Arrival the Reapers were about to enter the galaxy and use a mass relay in Batarian-controled space to jump to every where else. Shepard stopped this by ramming an asteroid into the mass relay destroying it and forcing the Reaper to travel through most of Batarian space, destroying and indoctrinating along the way, to get to the next closest relay.

And Tim did say a very large mass accelerator weapon was used to kill the reaper, but what if that is one of Leviathan's weapons.

Yea the Batarians were in fact just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Oh and I edited my previous post to explain how Leviathan could have still killed that Reaper Shep stole the IFF from.

He said they found the weapon, but I suppose he could be refering to Leviathan, we never see it and it could explain Cerberus' involvment in the DLC.

I don't know about HATE the Ending, but I will say I was very very disappointed. If you were an original Star Wars fan, How would you have felt if Lucas would have killed off Luke Skywalker at he end of Return of the Jedi?

I don't mind a main character death/sacrifice if it is done in good taste and leaves you with a sense of statisfaction and accomplishment in achieving the ultimate goal.  ME3 unfortunately didn't do that for me.

Leviathan will have squad dialogue in it, which imo is a huge step up from the slient squadmates in the ME2 DLC's

After Leviathan, I'm hopeful that we might get an Earth dlc that takes us to one of the conversion camps mentioned, as to my mind that seems to be promising ground for more lore details to be added.

I'm amazed how many people are still indoctrinated by bioware even after the ME3's total u-turn on its loyal fans.

i'd be far happier if they'd just DLC tie up the rachni business, or **** just show us some elcor tanks. But noooooo... MUST HAVE HUMAN LOVING REAPERS!!! booyea

just ridiculous.

So it is confirmed that new DLC with effect the ending.

"no, it won't 'change' your ending. It will give more exposition about the reapers though!"
-

It's just the couple of additional dialogue lines for the Catalyst already found in the TLK files, maybe a few ending slides too!

Oh well not going to buy it

I'm really disliking Mike Gamble right now.  If it won't have any effect on the outcome of the ending, it's totally not worth dishing out the cash.  That horrible ending already ruined the Reaper lore, I fear this DLC will trash it even more.  Those of you that are going to buy it, you're in the minority now.  It wouldn't surprise me if Bioware has lost 2/3rds of their fan base.  I owe Bioware nothing.  They made great successes in the Mass Effect franchise and I give credit for that, unfortunately they failed to deliver on the apsects that mattered most when it mattered most, character focus, genre, and narrative coherency.  And again, it destroyed the Reaper lore, "massive play toys for ghost child."  Makes me sick.  Instead of an epically satisfying conclusion, we got a total epic fail.  For me, there is no satisfaction in a forced 3-prong decision ending in which none of what I did essentially matters at all.  Don't forget Bioware said they wouldn't force us into something like that pre-launch.  Lies!!!  At most they say with this new DLC you'll get some more insight, some new dialogue lines and maybe some extra cut scenes.  Big deal.  I'll read about it or watch a youtube video of it for free.  At least Lair of the Shadow Broker played an essential role to the rest of the series.  But $10 for war assests that won't affect my outcome?  Thanks but no thanks.  I'm done giving Bioware my money.

Maybe those of us who are liking the DLC and don't hate bioware just don't see te same issues you do?!?  Or, egads, enjoy it for what it is.  A different concept to be sure, but it happens.  Why do people have to bag each other out just because they like/don't like something.  These things are meant to be fun ya know?

Re: those buying the DLC in the minority as some are saying/implying. Bust because 1 group of people scream the loudest doesn't mean they represent the majority of anything and visa/versa.
