Announcing the next Mass Effect 3 Single Player DLC Leviathan & Firefight Weapon Pack

I already paid $10 for Day 1 DLC that was originally intended to be in main game, do I really want to spend another ten and have spent almost $100 on this game already? (Since the Collector's edition was $80.)

Thanks for making a meaningful SP DLC that reveals hidden lore of the Mass Effect universe!
I've been dreading you'd go for Omega DLC, and honestly, nobody cares about that sh*t hole.
I'm so buying this one!
I think you're wrong, here. Omega DLC would make the most sense, and as far as polls are concerned, it's one of the top most wanted additions to the overall story. I'm hesitant about Leviathon because it was leaked a long time ago, and unless it changes the ending of the game, it's pointless to "search for a creature that defeats Reapers."

What Day 1 DLC did you buy if you had the collector's edition ?

Actually, I think some of the extra lines in the EC kindof allude to Leviathan, akin to Firewalker putting the fuel depot on the Citadel to allude to Kasumi's DLC. The whole thing about the ancient race that was turned into the first Reaper (Harbinger?).
As for how it affects the ending, I figure there might be some subtle dialogue changes, similiar to how the dialogue with Benezia is slightly different if you haven't gone to Feros yet. I figure the possible outcomes for the mission are:
1. Leviathan survives the mission, giving such a boost to your War Assets that you now have the high EMS/readiness ratings that were previously only available on multiplayer. (e.g 60% GAR instead of being stuck at 50%).
2. After revealing some juicy tidbits on Harbinger, including its "real" name and the race that was turned into the first Reaper, Leviathan must make the ultimate sacrifice to save Shepard, and is subsequently killed by Harbinger, possibly after a Godzilla style monster battle.
3. Leviathan is evil. There was no defector, this whole thing was a trap. It's a plotline that John Le Carre likes to use alot, and Star Trek has done it quite a few times with the Romulans. Consequently, you would have to fight and kill Leviathan.
4. There's always the "safe path" or "cop out path." They thought Javik would have a ton of info on the Crucible (and in the leaked script we read, he did), but in the finished project, he's pretty clueless about it, stating "I'm a soldier, not a scientist." So we might get exchanges like:
SHEP: What can you tell me about the Catalyst?
LEVIATHAN: It is an enigma even to us, otherwise we would have found it centuries ago. We believe it was created by those who constructed our Master.
SHEP: You mean Harbinger?
LEVIATHAN: No. Harbinger was created to replace me, when I was deemed obsolete. It is our champion of your cycle, but it does not command us.
SHEP: Then who do you take orders from?
LEVIATHAN: We recieve signals that we must obey, but we know nothing of their source.
SQUADMATE: That must by the Illusive Man thinks he can control the Reapers.
LEVIATHAN: He is a fool. If it is beyond our comprehension, then how could he possibly fathom it?
As for Omega DLC, there is potential there: Tazzik could become a temporary squadmate, they could work in the extra/mission Zaeed dialogue where he tells you what happened to Vido, you could get a boss fight with a Phoenix Vanguard, and eventually confront General Petrovsky, either convincing him to become an Alliance War Asset, or let Aria kill him (or do it yourself if you want a big renegade bonus). Maybe they could throw in a sword fight with Aria and Kai Leng, where they both come up even before something happens that gives Leng a chance to escape (without fighting Shep), and then Aria can tell Shep something along the lines of "That bastard killed my daughter. If you can take him down, then bring me his head." Could be epic.
An Omega DLC would probably have to be LOTSB sized, I suspect Leviathan is probably more along the scale of Arrival or Overlord (note the original intent for Arrival was an undersea base).

Why would you spend $10 Dollars on a day 1 DLC if you already bought the collectors edition which included that DLC?Indigo the Cat wrote...
Haha, this "Single Player DLC" was leaked a looooong time ago by a disgruntled employee of BioWare. (Not sure if he's still with the company.) It's amusing. Now... the problem I have with this DLC is that it's going to cost me $10... that's more than most of the DLC released for ME2, and this one doesn't even include a new squad-mate. Plus, "finding something that can destroy a Reaper" is pointless, unless finding this creature changes the ending of the game.
I already paid $10 for Day 1 DLC that was originally intended to be in main game, do I really want to spend another ten and have spent almost $100 on this game already? (Since the Collector's edition was $80.)
Something smells fishy here...

Omega COULD be awesome, but Leviathan? Lays the the ground work for an epic chapter to the ME3 story, BUT it will most likely have little to no impact on the ending, so "it doesn't matter" the fact is, it is another charge that Bioware/EA can get out of us. ( Death by a thousand cuts )
Now it might be a fun little chapter in the story where we learn more about the Reapers, or find some answers to some other questions, I would like that alot, but I will not be paying any money for it, at all. After what Bioware/EA did, ALL ME3 DLC's should be free.

However i also want to see others things: Volus, Elcor, Hanar, Drell etc have close to zero participation in the game.
Guess that is one of the reasons why i am looking foward to Leviathan DLC (also more insight on the reapers)

Your mileage may vary on the "zero participation" part. They brought back friggin' DIN KORLACK for crying out loud! I barely even remembered who he was until his name was brought up in Zaeed's mission and I went to myself, "Wait, Din sounds familiar...wait, wasn't he that ****** volus ambassador who hated humans?" That and they made a drell save the salarian councilor's life.
I agree about the elcor and hanar part, though.
Also, I would caution everyone not to conclude in advance that the Leviathan DLC won't add anything substantial. We didn't think the Kasumi Goto DLC would count for much since she's a thief and not a warrior, for example, but we actually got a new Locust SMG AND another "successful vent hacker" for the suicide mission out of the bargain rather than just Legion or Tali.
The Eden Prime DLC advertises itself as just a mission to Eden Prime to stop Cerberus...and we get a Prothean squadmate out of the deal.
We thought Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC was just going to be a cool boss fight...and it ended up giving Liara fans the romance scene in ME2 they craved.
The Arrival DLC advertises itself as "rescue Dr. Kenson," but we actually got a massive ME3 tie-in plot out of it.
It's possible that the Leviathan DLC may do something similar. It advertises itself as another fetch mission...but maybe we'll get a new squadmate, or a new shotgun, or a new romance scene, or a huge boost to our War Assets, or a new understanding of a previous gap in knowledge like what happened with Javik, etc.

LOTSB was considered cannon. t was also a lot of fun.
AND, if your IQ was up to par, you know that you can do it after the Suicide Mission, or not - and it changed Liara's responses. Its kind of hard to do much of anyhting after that ending.
So don't act up and talk smack when you aren't even bright enough to grasp the point.

I suspect he means the extra price he paid for the CE amounted to $10 over the base price for the dlc included in that version.

Yeah, sort of like buying Stephen King's The Wind Through The Keyhole, that has no affect on the end of the Dark Tower story.....................oh, wait........................
