To solve this:
- DO NOT exit ME3 (or your corrupted profile will sync into the cloud);
- Switch to desktop with Alt+Tab;
- Kill Origin client;
- Switch back to ME3 (you will receive a message "Origin (EA) is no longer running. Mass Effect 3 will now close." It's OK.);
- Start Origin, start ME3.
- The sync will fail an you will be prompted to choose which version of profile to use.
- Chose the version from cloud storage, not the local one.
This actually solved the issue for me. After all described steps you'll still be able to redeem the Commendation Pack. Just wanted to let you know about it's existence.
