Like I've   said without accuracy enhancements you can barely hit the broad sign of a barn with the pirahana with a character like the geth or the destroyer it is no longer a issue then their damage bonuses plus their accuracy enhancement plus level 5 shotgun gear plus level 4 penetration or warp or or even level 3 stability I mean these things are what make the shotgun strong or give you the impression of it being overpowered.

I am going to assume picking mods that compliment the weapon are not considered part of the gear enhancements you are talking about. Obviously, somebody will choose the smart choke with the pirahna without second thought. It still has decent acuracy then, and can still be much better than other options with no gear.

The claymore and reegar can be just as good with or without these additions do you even really use these shotguns?[/quote]

The reegar has a 100% finite range. The claymore is a hit or miss weapon and you only get a shot with it. The priahna can be burstfired without either of these restrictions.

You can disagree all you like, but I still don't have to link you as there are many balance/nerf thread all over this forum and they are not hard to find at all. This is naturally my personal view on the subject matter though, and probably the view of others. Or something similar as that would explain why people react the way they do on at least quite a few occassions.

But yes, when you picked out that particular section of what I said, you came across as trying to take it out of context. As standing alone, or shifted slightly differently, it loses meaning. And is an effective way to shut someone down.

You're the one putting forward the hypothesis that "someone outscoring them, making everyone play the same way as them" etc. is the reason why nerfers are making nerf threads.

The burden of proof is on you to support your argument.

You didn't read what was said at all.

This is not a case of needing to prove a thing.

This is a case of personal opinion. And conjecturing that other's react negatively for similar reasons.

Getting the weapon you don't like nerfed so much that other people won't use it or ****** people off on global scale two reason why some may go for that
