Hmm....if the end is not literal what would you want as the answer to the ending? IT dream, IT con or WNT????

IT con is the literal form of IT. So what do you guys think of Leviathan? You think it affects IT and/or WNT?

Posted this in the IT thread as well.

"Hmm...further analysis of Leviathan kicking shepard into his/her mind....found some noticable things.

1- The process of the in RW, then mind, then RW happens a lot of times.
2- For at least for the 1st half, Shepard never loses full conscienceness and appears to be shaken but still awake when it shows the RW.
3- The process causes blood to come from Sheps nose. Possible brain hemorrage.

For 1 and 2 I feel this suggests / hints quite strongly in the direction of WNT. I mean really strongly. If anything it definitely proves the concept in a way. For #3...I don't know. Have we seen evidence of #3 in London anywhere??"

Yeah, it's pretty similar, really almost identical to what seems to happen in the end. Shepard is obviously conscious when he's talking to Leviathan, yet the surroundings and Leviathan itself is just a projection into Shepard's mind. With the projection, there's also hints of where he actually is though. While he sees Ann and the others standing in front of lab equipment as a projection from Levy, he also sees stuff floating and light reflecting on the ground as only water could produce, an indication that he's aware of his surroundings. This is similar to when he's in the catalyst chamber, and catches glimpses of mako tires and tree reflections.

Also, his nose bleeds exactly as it did after he was zapped by Harbinger. It's possible that the Harby part was just him being injured, and it was one injury among others, but here, they made a point to show his nose start bleeding. That's one things that's been one of my main reasons for believing something is up, is how they deliberately show little things: Shepard's torso gunshot wound in the Anderson death scene, right after they went completely out of their way to show you that Marauder Shields had shot him in the shoulder, and now this nose bleed.

One thing that I found odd, too, was when he was asking Ann what was going on. It's like he believed that it was actually her. I guess it was meant to show how confused and vulnerable he was in that state?

I agree. If anything all Leviathan did was prove that what the IT thread (And WNT) is possible. All that is needed now is proof that it is really happening or not. ;)

Watched that Major Coats video then thought of something. I dont know if this has been stated before but the original trailer shows Coats in London at the time of the Reaper invasion. Say that was more than a trailer and actually happened which would place Coats at the right place at the right time to be indoctrinated by the Reapers.

Okay. There were a lot of trailers. Sure the implications are interesting but in hindsight it's unlikely that it means anything.  A lot of people have made the same point but the idea has yet to have a lot of credible in game proof. None the less it's a very good observation!!!

Throwing a suggestion out there. I'm looking for a logo for a video on my theory.

All I require is that it be in color and has neat lines. Has to look somewhat professional and not sloppy. Other than that...as long as it says Waking Nightmare Theory and it looks like it belongs (rainbows and unicorns wouldn't belong for example) you can pretty much do what ever you want!! If any of you do decide to do it, please PM me a link to it so I can see it when it is finished!! Or even better just post the pic in the thread!!!

The video itself is coming together nicely!! It should be quite impressive and I feel a lot of people will definitely love it. For those who are following and have told me their thoughts on it, I thank for all the support and patience!!! ^_^

I don't get the point of this.
If it IS Harbinger posing as a new character... why does that make a difference?
Lol we never have much confirmation that the Catalyst is telling the truth...
Why would the boss of the Reapers necessarily be more trustworthy or righteous than Harbinger?

After being lifted up on an elevator the only logical choice is to pick one of his options, to me, destroy.
You're not gonna say  "Well I think you're interfering with my mind so I'll just let advanced civilization die again just incase ur trying to trick me :)"

If Shepard is equally free to choose any of the 3 endings, what's the point in meddling with his mind?
Or are you trying to say THE WHOLE PRIORITY EARTH TAKES PLACE INSIDE HIS MIND?
If so, where does that leave us? And why would Bioware end Shepards arc with him waking up in bed...?

Technically speaking...it doesn't really make a difference. Both things are possible For all we know the Catalyst is Harbinger. Or there really is an AI in the citadel. Who knows? I personally think that the Catalyst is Harbinger. They are the one and the same.

Also think about this. If I was the leader of the Reapers would I want to be in a space station far away from my subjects/troops? No I would want to be with them. Also like every other evil villain that we have seen / read about, doesn't that villian want his/her troops to look similar/like the villain? Like Comic Book villains that have uniforms similar to the villains costume.

To remove that equality of choice and tip it towards the Reapers favor. That's the reason. There are 3/4 choices that favor the Reapers. One of those 4 is even what they have wanted for years but they can't make the choice themselves. So they have to use a 3rd party. Shepard's mind has been too strong so far to fully succumb to indoctrination, so the next best thing is to influence him/her into what the Reaper's want.

Would you risk having something equivalent to a monkey choose something that could kill you? I wouldn't. I would try to influence it to choose the right thing. Simple survival instinct.

Part of the WNT involves as an possible attachment to IT. So it is entirely possible for it to have been in his mind. But only after being hit with Harbinger's beam. So no...he wouldn't wake up in his bed but in rubble on earth.

.

Harbinger as the "Intelligence" makes perfect sense. Especially considering all the foreshadowing for that, or at least all the times it is heavily implied that he is the reapers' leader.

Exactly. It mystifies me why more don't see this connection. They just take it with no questions at all.

Well it's IT, and Literalist as one, but you know there can only be one. Also WNT supports IT more in a sense.
