I seriously wonder about decisionmaking at Bioware. I mean ME3's plot was the schoolbook definition of generic and uninspired, and with the first chance they get to truly show they learned from their errors they go with the "a reaper killed my father" angle. I mean, really. Come on now.

They either don't want to make money or think we're dumb enough to shell out anyway.

We'll likely have to choose between the Leviathan or that woman who will have some war assets or something. Either way just some more numbers on the War Asset screen.

So anything that doesn't include you banging Liara again isn't good?

Am I the only one who lol'd at 'YOU HAVE COME TOO FAR!'

Too far for what? What does that even mean?

'YOU HAVE COME TOO FAR... NOT TO GET ANY ANSWERS! SO... HERE IS SOME EXPOSITION ABOUT OUR RACE. ARE YOU READY, HUMAN? HERE WE GO. ONCE UPON A TIME...'

I expect more bad writing and plotholes really. Hopefully it's not full of autodialogues.

yeah its an odd statement, kinda needs some clarification... on second thought it might not help.

My reactions:

First, it was meh.

Then it showed squadmates and I got a little interested.

And then "You have come too far" and my avatar represents my mind.

Sums up my thought process from watching the Trailer.

And to those already asking what "You have come too far" means, are you serious?  Do you want everything explaining before the DLC even gets officially released?

It's obviously intentionally a vague statement that sounds ultra cool and makes you think of all sorts of crazy ideas of what it might mean and is meant to convince the audience to want to find out.  Trailers and previews for Films, other Games and TV Shows do this all the time.  ALL THE TIME.

It's meant to sound cool, but it honestly doesn't.

It will be autodialogue all the way. Writer Patrick Weekes is pretty clear about this on twitter, where he explains that Bioware is committed to autodialogue because all of a sudden conversation flow became more important than player agency.

I find it to be a stance so mortally crippling for an RPG developer that I feel like it may well be PR speak for "we would love to do proper dialogue choice but we have no time nor money because EA hamstrings our creativity."

That's sad to hear. But at least they are honest about it.
But just this time I would be more happy if they actually lied and toned down the autodialogue instead.

Ugh, should have figured all the negative nancy's would flock here to spew there hate.

Where else would we go?

BioWare should really create a subforum for you guys. We could call it something fancy, like The Citadel of Bitter Tears or The Tower of Can't Get Over It. Posting hate stuff would be banned here, and attacking haters would be banned there. It would be so amazing.

Traile doesn't look very good, except for those cave paintings, that is pretty awesome. Can't wait. If gameplay is good and origins of the Reapers are actually interesting, it will be well worth it, even if doesn't affect the ending. LotSB didn't affect ME2, but it was the best piece of DLC I ever played.

Have 0 faith in Bioware, it's dipped negative from time to time. I will not be buying this DLC for 10 dollars. Maybe for 99¢ if the Firefight weapons were included as a bundle.

I can't really care less about how "deep" or "compelling" their story telling is for this DLC. Nothing they do will change how the game ends and brutally that's where they need to focus. Maybe I'd pay $10 for a completely overhauled and redone ending that isn't such a crappy copout for 3 rather epic games. An overhauled ending and a big huge "I'm sorry" from Casey Hudson. His ending was bad, even with more explanation, and he should feel bad.

If this is at root EA's micro-mismanagement and hamstringing then Bioware senior staff should tell us and walk. Kickstarter has already show that small level micro-funding can bring in some fairly big total investment numbers and if eveyone who'd pay $10 of this DLC threw $20 at new studio that got out from under EA we may actually see some return of quality.

So let's break it up into Bioware Enthusiasts and Mass Effect Haturzz. We get to 'Z's ;p

This forum would simply wither and die. The five people who like the game aren't enough to sustain a forum all by themselves.

That scientist woman...is hideous. It's like she fell out of the ugly tree, hit every branch on the way down, then fell into a pile of **** at the bottom.

Certainly gives Allers a run for her money on the uncanny valley scale....

So I'm the only one who noticed this, huh.

**** all of you for making me look shallow.

I think Bioware has finally come to their senses and not have all females in the ME universe look like Victoria's Secret models (except for krogan females and UglyShep). Welcome to reality motha****a!

I'm guessing what will happen with this "You have come too far".
They're gonna make a new ending mid-game. Part of the story that will diminish(or logically explain) the role of the Catalyst.

Aside from that, trailer isn't really spectacular, is it?

EDIT: and did he say "a brand new enemy"?
Yeah, that's what this game needs. More enemies on top of almost unbeatable Reapers.

We already know what Leviathan is from that leak with the EC, right?

In this case: it'll shed a little more light on the Catalyst, possibly even altering a line of dialoge in the ending.

What I want to know is if other DLCs (such as Omega) will have the same effect on the endgame. What would having all of them installed and completed do to the Catalyst sequence?
