Honnestly i would like even to have more conversations with the plumber of ME2 than more conversation with liara..

By the way, did you know you can press spacebar to skip dialogue? If you close your eyes and press it fast enough you won't see any conversations at all. I found it extremely handy when I played.

The 15 minutes combined from all of those conversations is just too much for him to handle.

And guess what "genius"

Thane fans will never get a continuation to their romance. Ever. There will be no DLC for Thane. No comics. Nothing. Thane dies and there is no conclusion.

You were at least assured in ME2 that Liara's romance would continue. Even without LotSB.

You wanna know what I think? I think Liara is the sort of character we see in every BioWare game. Let's do a rewind here. Liara was essentially important to the plot in ME1, correct? The whole embrace eternity thing. Now, let's look at BioWare's earlier accomplishments. Jade Empire, takes place in a universe inspired by Chinese legends, has a lot of characters like on in particular named Sagacious Zu, he was pretty important to the plot and pretty much unkillable, in Dragon Age Origins we have Alistair who's there no matter if you like him or not. Sometimes you are forced to talk to the man despite of your feelings of him, because he's important to the plot. In Knights of the Old Republic we have Bastila Shan, important to the plot, sometimes you have to talk to her and she's pretty much there the whole game except for those last few minutes. You're forced to like any of these characters. I mean, I could also ask why they seem to include Garrus in every screenshot or trailer of this game, he's also in the screenshots for Overlord in ME2. Why? They might as well have included the ME2 squad after all and not Garrus. We also see him on the coverart too, he becomes a full romance in ME2, he's a squadmate in ME3 despite the fact that he can die in the former. This DLC does not revolve around T'Soni, you're free to choose your own squad. This is not propoganda that enforces you to bring her along. That's what I have to say about this, let's leave it there. I do not wish to discuss it further in this thread.

Not enough Liara, if you ask me.

True. It's hilarious how they made her the fracking Shadowbroker and then pretty much ingored that throughout all of ME3. She's got a whole room staffed with monitors and communication links, and yet she never contributed ANYTHING to the missions.
Instead, they had TRAYNOR basically do Liara's job.

(Don't get me wrong: I love Samantha, and it's clear they wanted to give her something useful to do in order to integrate her better - but seriously, having the Shadowbroker do NOTHING AT ALL is just absurd.)

i began to skip liara's conversations.. But since i paid 80 bucks for the game, i think i at least should not be obligated to do so because a character that i dont like is being forced upon me like a bad merchandise

Could say the same for you.

But seriously tho, it helps a lot if I don't want to spend time listening to someone.

Actually, I don't even care about Liara. Or any of the romances.

I just find comparing Liara's situation in ME2 to Thane's (or any of the the ME2 characters not Garrus or Tali) in ME3 hilarious because they are absolutely not comparable.

I like Liara but why did she get more dialogue then anyone else? Because she's the only one that can't be killed. >.< Wish they'd given other squadmates this much attention.

I just realized that Liara is the only squad-mate character who survives the entire series.

Liara can die.

You have to have a low EMS score and take her to the end run. But she can die.

However, even after being hit by the beam, there have been reports of her happily hopping off the Normandy after they crash.

Isn't that... a bug? You can even sleep with Tali after she kills herself.

She's a squadmate, what did you expect?

LanceSolous13 wrote...
She visits Shepard twice in the middle of the night for no particular reason.

First time, she sends Shep an email, then Shepard invites her up by intercom
Second time, she knocks on the door (because the salarian councilor wants to talk to you), and Shepard invites her in.

LanceSolous13 wrote...
And she also hits on Shepard regardless of the prior times telling her 'No' which is annoying to say the least.

That is simply not true. She never flirts with Shep if you didn't romance her in ME1. If you want to start a romance with her in ME3, Shep has to tell her he wants to be "more than friends".

LanceSolous13 wrote...
I do have issue with her doing nothing with that role what so ever in the game series. You never get a moment where you go 'Wow. If you hadn't gotten that role of Shadow Broker, I would have been royally screwed. Thank you Liara.'

Prolly a bug, I don't think you'd survive the harby's fry beam easily. Plus the sight of it satisfying :)
