Better then Vega.

That is not saying much although he is starting to grow on me. And I like liara but the squademates on the trailer were EDI and Garrus. They show one screen shot with liara and everyone all of a sudden flips

No more Liara please. She's almost forced down our throats even if we aren't romancing her, and she also had her own DLC in ME2. Focus on doing all the characters equally or don't bother at all.

I noticed on my first playthrough of ME3, where my LI was Ashley. When you're on the Citadel, and you speak to Liara who's leaning over the fence. I remember talking to Liara, (again I was faithful to Ashley) I was talking to Liara about her mother and Liara is still hitting on Shepard.  If you go the Paragon route in the Conversation, she'll actually kisses Shepard (even though my LI is Ashley & i was faithful to her) btw this was before Ash joined the Normandy

I had to restart from an older save............WTF

Liara hits on Shepard? Really? She calls you a friend (regardless of romance or not) and Shepard is the one to say he wants more. How on Earth is Liara hitting on Shepard?

play ME3 again or just read my comment again and you'll find the answer

I have played the game and seen the difference between the date scene if you start the romance for the first time, there is no difference between them other than the kiss being shown in the latter. Liara never hits or flirts with Shepard during the scene you talk about, she calls Shepard a friend, nothing more.

So maybe you should simply start to pay more attention and watch what dialog you pick? So you don't wind up dating Liara instead of Ashley.

Thank you very much, my thoughts exactly.
Don't get why it seems to be a difficulty for some people to pick the right dialogue to progress in the way they would like to...

Because some people don't understand ME3 or RPGs for that matter. Some people need to learn to take the time to read the dialogue options and get the "Up good, down bad" idea out of their mind.

In ME3 when talking to a crew member you'll ofter get a dialogue wheel where UP is romance and DOWN is friend. When talking to Liara and she calls you a friend you'll see a dialogue wheel with UP being "I want more" and DOWN "I'm glad we're friends" for example well people don't read and just assume UP is good and paragon so they blindly quickly pick up then complain "OMGWTFBBQ BioWare y U throw Liara AT me!!!one!1" when really if they would just read they would realise that in that case the DOWN option Shepard isn't being a renegade and is actually still being nice and polite and maybe they'd understand that DOWN =/= renegade in EVERY situation but I guess it's just to complicated for some people.

I'd like Bioware to just drop romances altogether.

Thread is justified.

They already made us bring Liara in From Ashes. Wouldn't be surprised if they did it again.

I wonder why we had to bring her to the prothean ruins with a prothean artifact in??

It's funny, because Liara does all of nothing in From Ashes.

If you posted a new thread that contained nothing but a picture of her, the same thing would happen.

If you posted a new thread that contained nothing but the word "Liara," the same thing would happen.

Arguing bringing Liara "made sense" when in fact she was entirely useless because all you needed was the two visions. Boy, she was a real help with those!

Not.

Not to mention the fact Liara was a terrible Shadow Broker, honestly Traynor was way better then her in regards to information gathering and she only monitered communication channels. Shame you don't have an option to replace Liara has the Broker. I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I too am looking for more character content from the ME2 squad. And of course the greatest among them: Wrex

Liara is instrumental in getting the Crucible built.

The mistake the writers made was in having Liara's role as Shadow Broker aid the war effort off screen (Crucible) rather than having it aid the war effort on screen. (intel for Shepard)

To be fair however I think that may have been another example of the fanbase shooting itself in the foot. After LotSB there was a vocal minority who complained about Bioware favoring Liara and giving her attention. Then the script leaked, and more people complained about Liara's role. The result? The intel that Liara was supposed to give you in the original script, was instead shifted to Traynor.

The irony is that many of the same people who complained about Liara getting too much attention, now complain that she didn't do enough as Shadow Broker. Oh BSN, you never cease to amaze. Posted Image

Would now be a good time to insert the obligatory, "Bioware deserves better fans?"

Yes, you sir! You sir, are a blight! And you! And you!

Thats not true if your going to say something get your facts straight. Liara helps you find the crucible and she helps the war effort and gives resources to the people working on the crucible.

dude. my views on liara is that  I don't like her. I don't like her at all.
so?

there's fans who don't like the ending. but still play ME1-3. There's fans who don't like Kaiden/Ashley. There's fans who won't like Leviathan.

My reason for desiring for more character content isn't going to matter because of my view on Liara......................
