Shepard is in that picture too. I hate that guy, he's such a bloody writer's pet, always forcing himself into my squad.

He's even on the box!  Favoritism!

I know right? He's in every romance scene too, it's unfair!

Making what up exactly? besides you trying to explain your lack luster point. Everywhere i look, its Liara Liara Liara. Less Liara and more everyone else would have been a lot better. Most ME2 L.I's got royally shafted. yet bware had to find a way to keep Liara around. They always do

Whoooooosh.

Do me a favor and put me in my place.  Go tally everyones conversation/appearance time over the entire series.  Really.  I want to see just how much Liara blows away everyone else.  Don't skip lines, use all the dialogue options.  Please.  I'd love to see this.

If that's too much work, feel free to compare her to Garrus and Tali.  Unless your lackluster points are based on advertising screenshots... because as much as you can't stand her, you seem to be very interested in the ME series, so I'd say their marketing is working.

all the ME2 squad members and L.I's are great. To bad we don't get half of them on our ship for ME3, but Liara managed to move the entire shadow broker operation's center into her bedroom on the normandy. Just so we can have the pleasure of having her as a squad member again :wizard:

So this is really just that you are mad, because your favorite squad member didn't get as much content as Liara and didn't got to be a squad member in ME3? Couldn't you find a better reason to hate Liara?

pretty obvious isn't it. Why build all those wonderful characters in ME2, then turn around and trash them in ME3?

lots of Potential with Zaeed. This is the Human K.R.O.G.A.N.,  be great to see Wrex & Zaeed DLC together.
Vega & Javik don't have the Quads of Wrex and Zaeed is closest in comparison.

ME2 Insanity Playthrough:  it was Zaeed & Grunt all the way. Zaeed has the greatest stories. lots of them can be great DLC material.

hmm Re-Take Omega bring Zaeed & Wrex. Aria T'Loak potential LI for Zaeed.

That implying that the Asari are rip off of the Na'vi is a bit daft considering Mass Effect predates Avatar.

People are frustrated because Liara and the other Normandy LIs got more attention.

Liara has a romance scene that amounts to softcore porn in my opinion.

Others get a fade to black.

I don't mind the fade to black, but others do.

I don't really care about Liara's either.

Shes a terrible shadow broker, she has the most annoying, nasally and girlish voice ever, she constantly states the obvious (even if she wasn't actually there; Eden Prime), shes your best friend even if you left her till last in ME1 to pick her up (and never spoke to her ever, not even to tell her you killed her mother), she constantly tries to get in your pants and to top it all off shes an Asari, a race clearly designed for straight male erotic fantasies that almost makes me ashamed to belong to the same gender as those utterly predictable "men" that went straight for the "space lesbians" romance option because blue boobies.

Enough reasons?

Wow. If things like this in a videogame irritates you, I don't even want to know what grinds your gears in real life man.

Agreed, her voice is pretty annoying. She uses too much "breath" in my opinion. If that makes sense...

she constantly states the obvious (even if she wasn't actually there; Eden Prime),

My brother dubbed her Captain Obvious.. He also calls Jacob Steve..  And hates Cortez for that very reason.

shes your best friend even if you left her till last in ME1 to pick her up (and never spoke to her ever, not even to tell her you killed her mother), she constantly tries to get in your pants

THIS! I told her literally to leave me the f*** alone and that I'm not an experiment that she can dissect, then she got angry and we never EVER spoke again. In Mass Effect 2 I told her that I hate her for giving my body to Cerberus. Again, she got angry and we never spoke again until LotSB. And even there I handled her like garbage and told her that I only helped her because the Shadow Broker has good intel, there she didn't get angry and smiled... In comes Mass Effect 3 and she is all over Shepard and goes "Shepard, it's so good to see you, we are the bestest friends ever!" (Note: I only handled her like garbage to see how much of a creators pet she is ;))

and to top it all off shes an Asari, a race clearly designed for straight male erotic fantasies that almost makes me ashamed to belong to the same gender as those utterly predictable "men" that went straight for the "space lesbians" romance option because blue boobies.

Well, that's more the fault of the players, really.

Enough reasons?

Yep.^_^

>implying that just because its a videogame i should be totally fine with absolutely everything even if it irritates the crap out of me when i'm trying to enjoy said videogame. Let me guess, you don't have an issue with what the new Tomb Raider is doing to Lara Croft.

I have these things called standards, you should probably have some too since you're dancing to the industry's fiddle.

Noting that Liara is pandering to a male audience whom think with the heads in their pants, and refusing to accept it, is a fault on my part?

No not that. But that some men are falling for here just because she has blue boobs and is bisexual is not the fault of her character (atleast not in-universe) but the fault of these men. And I fully support you. Metaphorically, Bioware takes Liara and shoves her with all their might down the players throats. "YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE HER!!1111ONEONEEINSEINSEINS" <_<

You expected them to start giving a damn now?

This.

You expect them to go all "We didn't know when we made ME3 that you guys wanted the ME2 squadmembers back. We'll add them for the next DLC"?

BioWare shot themselves in the foot when they made it so every ME2 squadmember could die, therefore they were always destined to cameos and small roles in ME3 and any dlc.

While i do acknowledge that there are people out there who are genuinely attracted to her character, i know far too many people who did it for the "space lesbians" thing for it to be the rule. She still panders by simply being an Asari and being utterly "un-killable".

If you haven't noticed, i don't like the Asari as a whole at all. The one exception being Aria, who isn't sickeningly "cute" as the rest of the Asari population and is genuinely attractive.
