They are immature schoolboys when it comes to the female S/S romances.

Okay, so you have to be a "liara extremist" to not understand why you started the thread with a single picture and when people respond to that you shrug it off by saying "it's not about the picture, it's a test". That's just plain and simple the wrong way to start a thread.
And you do still care enough to reply. <3
lol
I read those discussions. they were good. it's why I stayed out. since I was enjoying the reponses. besides look at all my responses, and you'll notice there's nothing hostile at all of them.
It's the extremists replies that are...but I just ignore them
Really? Like how you called the Liara fans bigots?

Do I really have to go over everythng wrong with Mass Effect's portrayal of sex and sexuality and the treatment of its female characters?

Why not. But if all you got is EDIs privates you can spare me. She's not female.
Edit: Forget EDI.. this is about the female S/S relationships and how immature they are, after all. But by all means, grasp at whatever you can reach.

To all Liara haters...
If it wasn't for Liara, there would have been no ME2 and ME3. She's Shepard's
best friend weither you like it or not. When I learned about what she's
been through for him/her, she became the ONLY romance option for me... I
feel like if I would choose anyone else, it would feel awkward... Did
any other squadmates, do as much for him/her?
1) You could just as easily say if it wasn't for TIM and Miranda, there would have been no ME2 and ME3. Liara was written as being used by TIM to retrieve Shepard's body. If it hadn't been her, it would have been someone else. Furthermore, Bioware stated from the beginning that Mass Effect would be a trilogy. ME2 and ME3 would happen regardless of Liara's (and anyone else's) role. Always makes me laugh how often Liara fans try to throw that "fact" in the faces of others. Pfft.
2) My Shepard's best friend is Garrus.
3) In my game, Garrus did far more for Shepard than Liara. When not forcing her presence on Shepard, Liara was thankfully generally avoidable (last mission in ME1 before Ilos, brief meeting on Ilium without doing LotSB, mostly secluded in her room on the Normandy in ME3 though the forced missions and room visits may have cancelled that out). Garrus provided love, support, companionship, peace, humor, loyalty and respect (i.e. was willing to let the dead lie, didn't hang on to her belongings, etc.) to my Shepard. Oh, the joy of being able to make some choices.
definitely agree with Neria Rose on this, there's so much I can add to her comment.
Neria Rose definitely made good points here that's for sure.

EDI is voiced by a female. Her personality is feminine. Her body is a female. Literally everything about EDI is female.
EDI is a female.
And it isn't just EDI. It is the entire asari race, the catsuits, and a whole **** load of other things.

No. EDI is feminine. She does not have a gender. Hell, I can point you in the direction of some people who fit that very description and also have a penis.
She also has nothing to do with "immature female S/S relationships."

how about Miranda? Samara's attire compared to other Asari's
I'm still wondering why Bioware has Jack wearing a belt as a bra? never really understood that part.

Miranda's body is explained. Samara's isnt anything new for an Asari. Jack's behavior is hardly standard in ME. But read the entire conversation before joining it. I'm not claiming Bioware doesnt cater to exposure of the female form, just pointing out its nothing new in the gaming industry.
Further, my line of questions here is based on Biowares apparent immaturaty in all things S/S, which I still haven't got any points to backup the argument.

Really?
Can't you just look at how retarded Traynor's romance is compared to Steve's and go from there?
edit: I would go over Liara's romance. But seeing your avatar I think banging my head against a wall would be a more productive way to waste my time.

This is the 3rd time you've responded to me without backing up anything I've questioned you about. If all you've got is Traynor's romance not being very serious, I don't know what to say. Is it because she doesn't need to get over someone first? Is that what makes it mature?
And what does my avatar have to do with what were talking about? I like the avatar, that doesn't mean I've got blinders on to a good conversation about a topic. Do you see a femshep in there? Can't sheploo romance her too? How bout I look at your avatar and assume you're completely disconnected from anything that goes on outside the little bubble you live in?

Thats her being an archeologist on behalf of the Alliance, not the Shadow Broker
About the voice, that's a matter of opinion but I wouldn't hate someone for their voice.
To be fair, i also dislike Manshep for the same reason, but its also valid because...
Stating the obvious? I can't remember examples of this right now but usually that's a gameplay narrative choice to make sure the player knows what's happening.
"Eden Prime, this is where it all began!" and "Those are my people down there!" (you don't say!) are just a couple of shining examples. I KNOW Eden Prime is where it all started because i was THERE and she WASN'T
Just like James is there as a voice for people new to the series.
I'll be honest i never actually saw that dynamic in game, just saw him labled as so and accepted it. I actually liked James
I wouldn't consider someone you never talk to as your best friend. But she will still be kind to you even if you're not to her, I'd say that's a great quality for a friend.
Thats a quality of a suck up if you're continually an arse to her and shes absoutely unfazed by it. Like a puppy not knowing when its not wanted
How does she constantly try to get in your pants if you never talk to her? And even if you do, you'd have to steer the discussion towards that.
"I'd like some moments like this...just friend" whilst heavily implying she wants somethiong more when you don't. And don't get me started on all the "embrace eternity" crap in the first game, the hugs in the second game after being the worlds most gigantic douche to her

The Reapers only just GOT to Thessia, how the hell can you say "humanity hasn't been nearly destroyed" when Earth was systematically being demolished from the beginning of the game, not to mention Palaven or even Dekunna?

The statement was ment to the players themselves they can't understand another race or aliens losing their planet because us the humans in real life have never lost ours or been through the pain she is going through mid game that is why they can't understand and make certain judgements or assumptions even though they never experienced or been through it it is the same stuff we do in reality we judge things and say certain things without ever experiencing them ourselves before we open our mouths or make quick judgements.
