The point is they're making rash judgements of a alien or another people losing their planet even though it is a game they've never experienced that pain themselves therefore they don't have the right to make such judgements when they do not even understand

I think you're misunderstanding something. We, the players, may not have experience with losing our own planet (but I'm sure some here experienced other terrible things), but Shepard has. Shepards planet is overrun by reaper forces, right from the beginning. So Shepard should be able to call Liara out on it.

Then so should liara since her own world is being taken over by the reapers she should be able to call him or her out on it just as much as shepard can vice versa

You mean if Shepard would call her out on it? Sure. I know I would. But she can't, because Shepard can't call her out on it, because Bioware doesn't want to see the "friendship" between Liara and Shepard falling apart, because she is the creators pet. ^_^ And because the game is rushed and we have no dialogue options. Or only "goody two-shoes" ones.

This.

Also, just a pet peeve of mine, but why does it sound like Ali Hillis is trying to breathe and speak at the same time when she voices Liara?

"I *huff* don't know *huff, inhale* how you *huff* do it."

It really says something Liara's VA when the robot (Legion) is emoting better than her.

Even better, Legion has no face and still out emotes her.

I've always been confused by the portion of anti-Liara argument focusing on her response to Thessia's being overrun. She was there to provide comfort to Shepard and Garrus when their homes were overrun, or shortly after, it seemed fair enough that others would do the same for her.

But I guess not.

Gah, hadn't seen your post, so please forgive me the double post.
While it would be very cruel for Shepard to call her out on it, we, as the players, should have the option. Ot at least to yell at her "Girl! Get yourself together! Do you see me, James, Javik, Ashley/Kaidan, Joker, Traynor, Chakwas, Adams, Garrus or anyone else on this ship crying on the floor like little babies because we've lost(!) our homes, families and our planet?! You're older than us, you have seen the same, if not more, **** that we have and now you're crying and give up because the reapers have reached(!) your unprepared home-planet?!"

Seriously, not even Allers starts to cry and gives up because of Berkenstein. And she's just a reporter. Liara is a 108/9 years old Shadow Broker who killed, murdered and threatend people because they didn't want to pay some money.

Liara yelling at Javik?

For someone who just watched her homeworld burn and is getting trolled by the galaxies oldest troll, she sounds remarkably... bored.

That's a problem, I agree. But Liara certainly isn't the only (or the worst) offender here.

Haha, yeah

Garrus Vakarian, remember that one time i told you you can't come play with Normandy back in ME1? Well guess what, we're best buds now because reasons! Yaaaaay

OH NO! LIARA IN A SCREENSHOT! I bet that means Liara will be the only available squadmate for this DLC! Better head to the forums to show how ANGRY I am! You lost a long time fan, Bioware! I bought all your games twice, but this, THIS was crossing the line! I was a LOYAL FAN, but this is the END! Better start writing a 'goodbye BW' essay right away![/quote]

Why don't we all just ignore this thread and move back to our fav. LI support threads?

What I have seen on this thread, is people complaining about how much screen time their favourite character has, it seems most people here are selfish and seem to think that the whole story would go much better by just showing the character's face through three games.

So what if the ME2 squadmates don't get much in ME3, their plots were squared away quite nicely (obviously that's just my opinion). In the end the story went quite nicely with the small cameos they put in, it would be quite complex to design if the ME2 characters had bigger roles.

ME3's story was pretty superb overall (again an opinion) and even though I see why you maybe frustrated with your favourite characters not getting a large role there are still many other superb characters that were looked fully into and thus you should turn shyly away from them.

The roles of the ME2 cast was indeed spectacular...

If you only count Mordin and Legion.

If you really didn't care for him, then why did you do his loyalty mission and not let him die in ME2?

Miranda's VA is superb IMO

you can tell she really put effort to her role. then again it helps also when you have a great role.
Also, really like Jack's VA - definitely showed a lot of anger, done very well

Agreed. Mirandas VA did a great job, as did Jacks. Well, except for her reaction at seeing the Normandy for the first time. "Cerberus! ...uuh, ung, uuurgh!"

"I have perfect genes" or "I'm perfect"....

Yvonne Strahovski is a good VA but I can't stand her character. IMO.

To be fair, that was more stage direction than a voice acting issue:)

I so don't get people who are all "this has no ME2 people, I hate it!" Ok Leviathan has to do with Reaper Origins, I fail to see how any of them can tie into it.

And secondly, the ME2 squad has their own stories and places, do you seriously expect Jack to give up on her students or Wrex to stop helping the Turians and making sure his people don't turn on everyone for revenge (or Wreave out of the kindness of his "heart") to go help Shep fight Reapers or take back Omega for no reason at all?

If you ask me, I am tired of Liara and I like to see another character take the spotlight instead. I'm not a Liara-hater, I just like to see something different now.
