Unfortunately, this reminds me a lot of DA2's "Legacy" DLC and its weapon packs. One can only hope ME3 won't end up like DA2.

And I can only hope it does. Legacy is still my favourite piece of Bioware DLC ever.

edit: unless you mean DLC ending prematurely, in which case I certainly hope it doesn't!

10 bucks for a war asset...fan feedback and youtube is what i'll do

You're a moron, haha.

As though if nothing adds anything new to the last moments of the game, it no longer matters at all.

This game is about the journey. Which has been awesome straight through. Don't like the ending, or quantification of some of your choices in war assets? Cool story, but actually going through the journey is what matters. Not the end result, which in the end all of it doesn't mean anything because it's over anyway.

There was some study that showed the amount of people who can literally experience symptoms of depression after a long-running TV show ends. I wonder if that same effect happens to fans of Shepard's story which is now over. The endings were meh, but an entirely new attitude of "nothing matters now anyway 'cause it's over" is springing up. Get over it. Play it or don't, if all you care about is what the DLC adds to another portion of the game, or end result, then obviously you have no concept of absorbing anything meaningful from playing through the story and events yourself.

Now to continue hijacking this thread, BioWare has delivered some quality DLC recently so they can have my 10 dollars for this. I look forward to it.<3

Haters gonna hate, eff all that.

I don't care how good a 5 star meal is if at the end I have to eat a **** sandwich.

800 Microsoft points? What happened to 400 and 560?

We started getting more content. Compare the 400 point DLC to the 800 - there is a lot more content - voicework, story, gameplay time in the 800 level packs.

Way I see it, there's been plenty of charity DLC so far. I think $10 is standard and pretty fair. Course we don't know how long it is...that could change things.

$10 isn't much to argue about. It's a fair price for a DLC.
But it's not about the money for me. It's about time, and it's about principle.

Time as in is the DLC worth my time? Or will it be wasted time?
I will most definitely NOT buy the DLC before doing extensive research about it. Even spoiling the plot/ending on youtube if necessary.

And about principle. Paying for a DLC for this game would be counterproductive for me. I would be showing Bioware that I'm OK with how they treated the franchise. And I'm most definitely not.

I would be more then happy to give Bioware my money if it was a new game, and it looked promising.
But in the case of ME3 I'm not so sure i want to show them my support.

at least they aren't trying to get 1200 ms points. that seems to be the trend these days. even though the content never seems to justify 1200 points

As an added bonus, I already have the Argus rifle as a pre-order bonus, so one of the additions does nothing for me.  It's not a huge deal, but it does decrease the value to me.

So when's it coming out? Can't WAIT to see the sales reports! *grin* Annnd, I guess Koobismo has $10 more coming his way. Yes, I am donating $10 (or more accurately, paying $10 for his Starsignal soundtrack) for every DLC Bioware puts out. <3

Ah yes. the "But it's about the journey, not the destination!" argument.
Commonly used by people in-denial or apologists. Or both...
It's very hard to "enjoy the journey" when you know the journey is going to end in a steaming pile of horse manure that is the ending. You won't be able to relax and focus on the good things. The journey, your mind, will be stained. Because you know whats coming, and it ain't good.

Much like I can imagine a prisoner on his way to prison has a hard time enjoying his journey over there no matter how beautiful the scenery is on the way.

If you like the ending or are "ok" with them then of course this isn't a issue for you, and it very easy to spurt out worn-out phrases like "it's about the journey..." without actually thinking it over.

But if you played Mass Effect for the story and hate the ending and think it ruined the story for any of the many many reasons people have stated, then the destination very much matter. Because it destroys what you played the game for. The story.

Almost everybody has the Argus. Hell, I even had 3 codes for it at some point. They should put the M90 Indra instead of the Argus, so console players get both PC-only weapons.

If a company makes a product I want, regardless of that company's history, I'll buy it. If it's reasonably priced, of course. Ten dollars is pretty reasonable for DLC.

Which, if I'm not mistaken, was because everyone kept complaining about Dragon Age 2 needlessly

LotSB was $10. It was the best dlc I have ever played. Ever.

If Leviathan is aiming for the same quality and quantity then I think the price is right. I even called Bob Barker and he agreed.

Needlessly? Hardly. I for one expected the DLC to bring Hawke's story to a close, the way the core game never could. But Bioware gave up and that was the end of it.

People can say what they want about DA 2 but one thing going for it was some damn good DLC.  Just a bummer that they stopped making DLCs after MoTA (not suprising though)
