So?

Means you'll be spending more than $10 to buy it, if nothing else. I know that if i wanted it, i'd be paying $16AU for 1000 points....

I hate the M$ points system....

We weren't about to get free DLC for single player. The only reason MP DLC has been free is microtransactions, which SP obviously doesn't have.

In other words, it's nothing new.

I find it shocking that there's anyone out there that's actually surprised by this.

It's your money to waste.
However I will just say that if a restaurant that previously served the best steak in the world starts serving only unseasoned cabbage stew - and you buy it - it will continue to serve nothing but unseasoned cabbage stew.

If it's a waste to spend a very small amount for something that'll bring you even temporary pleasure, then why even buy food? You could live like a month off your body proteins and tap water.

:P

Anyway LOL, there used to be whining on this forum but this is PRE-whining! You guys take it beyond.

$10 for dlc isn't that bad, if it adds more content and gets me away from MP, I am cool with purchasing it.

Is it pleasure, or is it merely buying a trash can full of banana peels merely because the can has a BioWare logo on it?

I don't need to play the DLC to know it'll do one of two things:

- Not affect the ending. In which case it's storyline is pointless and gratuitous.

- Affect the ending. In which case we're being asked to pay for a new ending.

Either way, do excuse us for calling a spade a spade.

I hope the DLC will finally remedy ME3's biggest flaw, imo: no Gianna Parasini ;)

It provides more action and elements from a videogame LOTS of people including me still like. So.... pleasure.

Either way, do excuse us for calling a spade a spade.

Point of view.

What if it turns out as beautifully done as LotSB?

What if it (highly unlikely but let's say) actually added to the ending in a way anyone (utterly impossible but let's say) could live with, wouldn't it be worth the cost of two beers?

That any game could provide. ME used to be about more.

Hardly likely. Moreover, LotSB was essentially it's own story, while it drew elements from the plot of ME2 and the overarching story it was about Liara becoming the Shadow Broker, and Shep's relationship with her if there was one.
It was self-contained. This DLC is not. It's entirely reliant on the plot of ME3, and we know exactly where the plot is going.

What if it (highly unlikely but let's say) actually added to the ending in a way anyone (utterly impossible but let's say) could live with, wouldn't it be worth the cost of two beers?

Then, again, we're being asked to pay for a new ending.

If you choose not to by principle, i can't but respect that.

I for one will take a look. The Leviathan intrigued me since i heard about it in Mass 1.
Besides, 10 bucks is but a fraction of what i spend monthly in cat food really. Those adorable things are like a bathtub full of acid O_O

If Mass Effect 3 and BioWare was the worst that could happen to gaming, I'd have a lot more different games on my shelf.
All I draw from the endings is that BioWare still sucks at nailing it in the final moment. Same applies to both Dragon Age games, and yet, I love them. That's a horrible trait when it actually comes to endings, but everything else I like rather much.

It's another story in the verse, so yay. Some business decisions were, mildly speaking, poorly executed in the past, but the people that actually create and design the game, including the voice actors, deserve those damned 10 bucks. Hell, LotSB was more fun and intense than most standalone games in total.

I'm very much looking forward to it.

Optimist.

The current trend of bioware says otherwise. Even so, why is it about the Reapers? Mrbtongue established that the Reapers aren't the main focus of mass effect and there are plenty of aspects in the ME universe so far left unexplored such as all the characters who were featured in ME/ME2 but didn't even get so much as a camo appearance in ME3.

10 bucks for a war asset...fan feedback and youtube is what i'll do

You're a moron, haha.

As though if nothing adds anything new to the last moments of the game, it no longer matters at all.

This game is about the journey. Which has been awesome straight through. Don't like the ending, or quantification of some of your choices in war assets? Cool story, but actually going through the journey is what matters. Not the end result, which in the end all of it doesn't mean anything because it's over anyway.

If the journey a 3 month vacation, then multiple 14 day cruises to the best resorts around the world, and then concludes with driving off a bridge into a pile of cow manure, and THEN the car explodes...then the ending is important...probably more important than the journey.

But, I will admit, until the end, it was a great and wonderful journey.  I'll probably buy the DLC.  But not as soon as its released, I learned that lesson the hard way.

There was some study that showed the amount of people who can literally experience symptoms of depression after a long-running TV show ends. I wonder if that same effect happens to fans of Shepard's story which is now over. The endings were meh, but an entirely new attitude of "nothing matters now anyway 'cause it's over" is springing up. Get over it. Play it or don't, if all you care about is what the DLC adds to another portion of the game, or end result, then obviously you have no concept of absorbing anything meaningful from playing through the story and events yourself.

Now to continue hijacking this thread, BioWare has delivered some quality DLC recently so they can have my 10 dollars for this. I look forward to it.<3

Haters gonna hate, eff all that.

So what you are really saying is that you do not mind it at all that all the Moral Dillema's , the Hard gray Choices that you will make in this DLC, the Leviathan will only affect how much War Asset you receive. That you know full well that you will never see in action , nor have any impact to the ending of this Trilogy. And that as long as you get to play as Shepard and kill a few more Husks you will be happy. The journey will be exponentially better when you know that the journey have an result. But atleast you will enjoy the contents.

Well good for you!
I will be watching it on Youtube, knowing full well that nothing in Leviathan will affect anything in the game, nor any of the choices will have any impact, this realization is what stripped away the enjoyment of what could have been an incredible Journey.

I didn't care about Shepard Dying, I needed my Shepard to die for a purpose, to sacrifice for the Greater Good. But instead, my only choices was to follow the orders of an AI that have been murdering and causing Genocide for Millenia. The choices of, Stripping individuality, the genocide of all Synthetics, or to become an AI god following the footsteps of the Geocidal AI Catalyst.
Those was not good choice.

The ending is as it is. You cannot ask me to disregard this when making a purchasing decision.

Fact is: Knowing that, no matter what I do, I will have to have that civil, if retarded, conversation with Godchild firmly clutching the idiot ball makes me not want to play the game again.

Unless that changes, I will continue not wanting to play the game again. Because of this, I will not buy DLC unless the ending is fixed.
