Shockwave initiating BE > shooting that primed enemy.
Adapt to sniping with screen shake.
That's what I did.

You have to be high to think it's OK that this is how a great majority play these classes.
I mean even the horrid Krysae at least required you to look down your scope. These spammers hide behind a wall because the classes are worthless on any difficulty above silver for the vast majority of players and spam ES/BS over and over and over and that's it. That's all they got.

People who LITERALLY spam a power the entire round (prior to ES, I had never even seen this- I'm talking about never stopping, never moving, never using their weapon) are basically griefers in my book.
I vote Bioware implement a feature that throws your character off a cliff for doing that garbage.

in reality BW nerfs made your sniper unusable.aliteDC wrote...
Please stop the biotic/electric slash spam. It makes my sniper unusable.
their spamming is probably doing 5-10 times the damage your sniping is

Youre totally right, I should be shadow striking that banshee.

What I don't get is that on Gold, these powers alone don't do that much damage. They need either biotic or tech primers from other powers to be really potent, yet so many farming matches I regrettably arrive in are E/B-slash/smash spammers. And in-game they seem to forget their weapon and other powers exist. Painful to watch if the rest of the team has bled out.
Their weapons might suck vs bosses, not out DPSing ES/BS and they're usually kinda squishy, so cover is a good thing.
Besides, Shadow Striking/Biotic Charging a brute, banshee, or atlas can be suicidal.
Shadow only has -2- attack abilities anyhow. It's either ES, SS, or plink bosses with light weight, weak weapons that will probably run out of ammo LONG before they do substantial damage usually.

Get that headshot, bro.
Bro.
It's annoying but there's no argument here.

Rather than ask people to stop using their powers either ask bioware to remove the screen shake which should never have been implemented for people who arnt using the powers or dont snipe...to me powers are the one thing that makes mass effect unique, without them you might aswell be playing a game like battelfield which is far better for people who like using guns....
Hear hear!
I wouldn't object at all to a lessened screen shake, but you can't reasonably ask people to stop using the powers they like.

I guess I missed the part where 1,100+ damage wasnt very much (at a rate of every 1.5-2 seconds... 550 DPS+)
When your team is down (soloing), its also the safest method to ensure you arent getting hit by Banshee warp balls (which are death sentences to a Shadow and Slayer with nothing to charge), or that Prime which constantly staggers you, while reliably dealing some damage.
I'll admit you should TRY to cloak>ES>ES>Shoot if possible on the Shadow.... but the Vanguard? Charging when soloing on Gold is tough considering the insta-kill enemies forcing you to play far less risky.
Biotic/Electric Slash are also some of the best spawn killers as well, especially in the early waves when its tons of infantry units.
I'd much prefer someone cheesed behind a wall and spammed ES/BS all game than Shadow Striked/Biotic Charged and died all game long (Not saying you cant SS/BC well, just that most cant, and its far riskier by nature).
Other than for Hack+Escort objectives you dont need to be next to anyone when they're spamming powers anyway, so if you dont like it... move, simple as that.

Dropped in on Wave 2 of W/G/G. The class makeup looked weird, but once I finally saw all three of them in action, it became painfully obvious what their gameplan was. The party was two Slayers and a Shadow; each one picked a wall, and spammed through it blindly until they got overrun.Micah3sixty wrote...

Some games are worth leaving your consumables behind.

I don't get people like you, so what if they spam a power. That power has superior damage and range, plus can go through walls. What about all the people who use the Fury to detonate biotic explosions? It's people like you who always complains, then weapons and characters get nerfed. If a character can do more damage with a power, compared to a weapon to that certain build, why wouldn't they spam it. This is beyond stupid.

Because it takes no skill, no strategy, and very little planning; because it's slower and weaker than actually playing the game; and because it's annoying.danray1983 wrote...

That's pretty much the game plan I see in many randoms I join. Usually ends with the squad down between waves 6-10 and waves being soloed/carried by experienced gold/platinum runners.

This shouldn't be any more evident than in the flexibility of the builds to player taste. Anyone arguing away this lack of standard should play a common variety shooter. Or just get on with learning to play with power based classes in your "army" game!
