Or you could, you know, move away from the dude spamming and cover another area so your not affected by screenshake.....and if your in CQB with the spammers trying to quickscope with a sniper, why aren't you using a shotgun which is much less affected by screenshake?

I'd like to see you SS into a group of enemies on GOLD/PLATINUM. Go do it and see what happens. SS is for single targets. When there is a group of enemies together then ES is the skill to use. SS into a group = insta dath on GOLD/PLATINUM.

Also ES an entire group of enemies > Sniping one guy in the group.

If a player spams ES to take down a single target then I can understand the complaints.

I don't think the problem is that the ability exists, the problem is that it frequently gets spammed ad nauseum.

It's very irksome when your trying to run a sniper (a build based around headshots and quick reactions) and the guy next to you is mindlessly smashing one key and causing your screen to go crazy. With the amount of shake you would think your team was being airstriked.

You know it's bad when your trying to shoot a prime from fifteen feet away and its challenging......should not be so difficult.

Sorry but this is ridiculous. I sniper from time to time but what some are asking for is similar to me asking you snipers to not use cloak, or not use prox mine, or ed for that matter. You can't simply say hey don't use your powers on a power based class. Button smashing? Really? What do you think shooting your gun via destroyer/soldier is? It's the same dang thing. I offer to you, either try playing one of those classes without using slash or play a gun class without shooting.

Yes the screen shaking sucks and is a bad addition to the game but so are hunters, pyros downstairs, and numerous other things in the game. What have people done? Adapt and defeat.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I always find it amusing that people are quick to say things like "spamming powers means you have no skill" when they themselves only hide in a corner behind cover the entire match and spam the shoot button to no end.

I love that Infiltrators are now able to screen-shake and it's pissing off other classes. Welcome to our world! We've been dealing with it from you Asari, Engineers, and Phoenixes forever!

Solution: Move away from them. If you're in an escort of area-hack objective, well, move to the back, use your powers to help with crowds, use a side-arm, or move away from the objective to distract enemies.

This whole thread is full of hypocracy everywhere. Don't spam this skill! -> Don't take a sniper rifle! -> Move away from me! -> Move away from us!

If the solution is to change the way you play because you can't alter the way someone else plays, it's not a solution. Asking someone to not take guns they like because someone else enjoys spamming one screen shaking skill is just as ludacris as asking someone to not spam a good skill so they can use the guns they like.

There's no winners in any of these scenarios and it boils down to people just being considerate. If you see someone with a sniper rifle, try not spaming screen shaking powers next to them, at the same time if you see a warped target in your scope, find another target to one shot kill instead of screwing up the BE.

SS is the central ability of Shadow. Like charge + nova are central for human vanguard. Slash probably kills lots of mobs, like husks, swarmers. So does shockwave, but nobody specs HV for spamming shockwave, and nobody should spec shadow for slash spamming. Shadow is much more effective with SS. End of line. If people can't see this, well you can play with chargeless vanguard, or cloakless infiltrator or adept without BE.

who said there must have a central ability?
how can u find out SS is the only ability exclusive to shadow ?
SS and ES both are n7 shadow exclusive
your perspective is narrow


batarian all get blade armor which is a trademark of them .but many ppl decide to drop it because there is a better choice.
there are also asari sniper vanguard who give up biotic charge or use it as a secondary attack.
this game let u choose what and how u play

there may have a better or more effective choice in the skill tree . but actually it depends on how u choose and what u want. this game design with freedom . so there is never a absolute answer that people must do this on skill.

back to topic about ES. obviously u never try 6 level ES so u  say they kill husk and swarmer
full ES with cloak can kill full shield marauder , centurion, and any non-armor enemies (not include phantom) with 2 ES. this is what so many people tell u about killing a group of enemies with 2 hit ES.it also depends on distance. closer to enemies it get higher damage.1100 damage +20 m if u spec full damage enough to kill many enemies with cloak .shockwave far less than this damage (570) and less range (16m) (full damage include passive) even after buff

another point is u can spec both fully SS and ES. i am doing 66635. platnium or gold is not a problem with top score
all road lead to roman and there is not a single choice in this game
if u don't know or don't try it before, be gentle and try it before u say others using this are noob
everyone get their own style for game

Wrong, the two are both completely situational. In some occasions, SS is the skill to use, on other occasions ES is. And while ES is most of the time a viable, though much weaker, option to use in SS situations, SS is NEVER a viable option to use in ES situations.
Ditching ES from your spec is basically as bad a decision as ditching SS from your spec. The two complement eachother. I'd rather ditch cloak than either of those two.

i didnt find any problems with screen shacking, while using biotic slash with my slayer with the indra.
I usualy go for the Slash - Snipe - Slash - teleport away. works wonders on platinum

Wow. Just wow. It's one of the stupidiest things I've heard on BSN. And I heard lots and lots stupid ideas, but this one will make to the top 5. Cloakless infiltrator, cloakless shadow, so while you use SS you'll have aggro and enemy doesn't get full damage and he turns to greet you with a hit. And you can't use slash while being under cloak. 
Only on BSN you'll meet chargeless vanguards, asari adepts without stasis and infiltrators without cloak.

I didn't say I ditched SE, SS or TC, I just said that if I HAD to drop one of those three, that TC would be the one I'd drop. I'd rather ditch or tune the passives, but that's a different matter. Besides, even uncloaked, you don't necessarily have instant aggro on the target you SS. That target might very well be occupied attacking one of your squadies. Basic aggro mechanics, it's not that hard to work around some obstacles.
The shadow simply works different from the other infiltrators. If someone prefers playing it more like a vanguard, then fine, no problem for me. But for me, SS, ES and TC are all important abilities for a Shadow and I tend to use them ALL. None of them are I-WIN buttons, each has its strengths and weaknesses, so I simply pick the one that suits the situation.
