Hello,
My mailing address is not accepted by your automated system, as it does not accept AE as a state. Normally I would just add you to the hippie, military hating category and not spend another cent, but I am hoping this was an oversight.

Not military friendly?

I don't know what you guys are exactly referring to, but there is nothing friendly in the "military" concept.

The first sticky in this forum:
Common problem areas, PLEASE READ FIRST **UPDATED**
Has this:
9) If you are currently using a military address overseas, (APO FPO),
this will be allowed in a future fix, currently slated for after
Thanksgiving / Early December.
It's likely that the schedule slipped.
This may also apply:
2) If your Billing country, your EA account, and the country your IP
resolves to mis-match, your transaction can fail.
ESPECIALLY COMMON IN EUROPEAN CUSTOMERS, or those customers using
non-traditional ISP services.
Stay safe everyone.

Thanks for posting the sticky. Sorry I missed it. I worked around the problem using my shipitapo account, which is a commercial mail drop intended for use for those of us overseas. I rarely use them, as I would prefer to spend my money with places that support the military.

"They say that in the Army the pay is mighty fine... They give you a hundred dollars and take back ninety-nine..."
Unfortunate that you had to pay additional for a shipping proxy service.
I completely understand why this happens (regional publishing contracts tracked purchases and installation of software by corellating IP address blocks to geographic locations), but at the same time we've been at war since forever, so imo, the industry as a whole can/should be in a better position by now to provide appropriate services to the military, esp. to those serving overseas.

I remember reading that article but there has been no announcement by the developer. Look, it was over a month since the last update on this forum. Do you not think they should at least give us some news if the date slips. Then I wouldn't mind it so much
