Is there any way i can play the game without buying a digital copy without having to have the DVD in the drive?

Did you install the game before your DVD drive broke?
If you did, there are several ways that are not allowed to be discussed here due to forum rules about piracy and cracks, but if you did not install the game prior to your DVD drive's failure, you need to purchase a digital download edition or repair your drive.
I hope I was able to help.
Best regards in finding a solution to your issue.

who buy a driver these days? it's allways burners. so a Blueray burner or DVD burner. it's worth the few extra coins diffrence from a regular drive.

use the ea download manager to download the digital version and use your retail key.

You can also consult your problem to Customer Technical Support and ask them what to do. I've had difficulties with the solutions mentioned above. Which included the cops after I broke my DVD-Drive. It got settled since I had the originial copy. But I really suggest consulting the company who created the game at Customer Support first before you start doing things on your own.

got my disk out but my drive is definitely broken lol, and the ea thing isnt working :\\\\
Guessing i gotta uninstall then download with ea tt
Requiring the cd to play is really just downright insulting though, I've always been annoyed with it, and reasons like this are why.. look at blizzard who patched all their old games to remove the need for cd to play, and most other games now dont require anything else either.. it's not like its so darn hard to get around either, everyone has virtual drives now and it only hurts people who actually buy the game -.-
gonna be installing a new rom drive tomorrow anyway

Not everyone has anything to burn on CDs/DVDs. No sense in paying extra cash for a feature ya won't use.CID-78 wrote...
