What? You can't tell me Miranda is not the most blatantly sexualized character in the series. I'm not sure what you're trying to say about with motivations, but everyone wants to get with Shepard as long as you talk to them. Because that's how it works in real life. Right?Taboo-XX wrote...

Not whatever pruient interest the fanbase may have.
It's a game and should be taken as such.
But that doesn't mean the characters shouldn't be judged individually.

The difference is the complexity of the characters motivations.
Sexualization is common in all games now.
The only difference is is that some people don't go ape when they see breasts or a butt.

Is the Lair of the Shadow Broker "love scene" with Liara taken into account in ME3 dialog, I saw a youtube video of when Shepard is first talking to her on the Normandy and she says they haven't been together in years as if LotSB romance part never happened.
It's a bug. The "Liara toured Normandy in LotSB" flag is always unset. You can fix it with Gibbed and the "haven't been together in some time" conversation is different.

Why don't you talk to her and find out?
That's the entire point of the character. To be complex.

I've talked to her quite a bit. She and Garrus were my squadmates for my insanity run through of ME2. I like Miranda. But I'm not sure why you think she's so much more complex of a character than Liara. They're both great characters IMO.Taboo-XX wrote...

Although I would assume that non-sequtors are going to be used so I'll prepare myself.
There are at least three aspects of her character, each with corresponding split off points that lead into sub sections.
The first is traced back to emotional abuse and isolation as a child. This resulted in an emotionally stunted individual.
The second fits in along side the first, but is driven by a desire to prevent the same incident from happening again.
The third pertains to a blossming of emotions in the wake of proper treatment and care. This is aspect that most people never see, as they don't make an effort to do so.
All three feed into subsections, and all become motivations.

If I may--they are all pretty blatant actually. Look at what Ashley is wearing at the beginning. It is made to look like she is wearing garters and stockings and she has clearly had collagen injections in her lips. Allers? Sam and the shower? Jack and the lack of clothing in ME2? And look at the um protruberances on Liara's upper body.
I think this is why they added Vega, but someone couldn't quite figure out how to work all that into a romance or something-abs of steel might hurt someone. I wonder why they don't have him running around in a speedo. Actually, I know why they don't. Most of it was created more for straight males. Not a slam but a reality. Shepard stares at Liara's front on Mars if Liara is the LI. "My eyes are up here, Shepard."
And the night before cronos love encounter starts off with those boobettas getting a lot of attention. "Helmet, what helmet?"
It is what it is.

As I see it all the characters are more than skin deep (except Allers). Miranda was as abused as Jack for the same reasons, but in another way. She was not good enough. She was to be perfect and was not. She was used and felt imperfect. She could trust no one. She had pain. And she woke up, found redemption and belief in herself through Shepard. This is something almost every one of Shepard's crew members, team, friends all share. They are all broken people who don't see themselves as worthy. They find that self-respect with Shepard. Redemption.

It was a joke about Miranda being a clone and shepard having selective hearing, hence miranda with a mustache and chest hair, I fail to see the connection with a child abuse joke.Taboo-XX wrote...
