Tried it, still crap.
I was spraying away at a silver ravager and I think it was snickering at me.
Buff the Locust! The First step to glory has been made! Thanks Eric! *Brofist*

I don't understand why people even care about this gun. I am truly baffled.

Its a fine line since the locust is so much more accurate than the tempest. 10 percent is too little.... 40 or 50 percent may be too much.... but 20 or 25 percent would be just right.... here's hoping this gets repeated next week, then we might... just might be in business.

I think people care because it was a good gun in ME2, but not sure.

The real issue is the difficulty mechanic used to make Gold > Silver > Bronze.
Damage x Rate of Fire, SMG's are competitive at least with other weapons. But when the difficulty mechanic is applied (subtract this much damage per shot) all of the sudden rate of fire gets to be a bit meaningless, all things considered, on higher difficulties.

As much as I love the locust, it should stay. Becuase it is not THE Kassa Locust. Just cheap knock offs.

It happened the Locust got a Buff!!
Locust SMG
- Damage increased from [34.3-42.8] to [37.7-47.1]
Is it enough? Math people tell em the answer!
WITH SCIENCE!
It has let me to a little testing. My answer:
It is not quiet enough.
In another 8-11.3 points of damage, we will have a contender.

Well. Bioware did.
We just drew attention to it.
I drew people to take attention.
People drew bioware to take attention to it (?)
Bioware reviwied it and decided it should be buffed.

The BW team seem clueless as to how to fix issues like this. It does not take a genius to work out that a 10% buff to the Locust's damage would still not make it even halfway decent.
If this was my thread and I had campaigned for a locust buff, I would not be happy about such a token gesture. I would be getting mad. Because it IS a token gesture. BW would have known when making this "buff" that it would make no difference to the gun's overall viability.

This token gesture has made a noticeable gameplay boost with it.
Enough for me to Re-Estimate what its final damage values should probably be.
Everything has been buffed in steps, with few exceptions.

I can't give you credit for this. If it somehow managed to get buffed 57 or more, then I will. Get to work!

This next Tuesday is the day I have promised to start the second campaign, Uchimura.
I promised I would give it a week to test out the new Locust.
(Ironically, I am certain that 57-59 is its exact damage value that it should end up with, in the end.)
If I wanted to pay more then lip service to balance, I would test the changes that Bioware made before suggesting more.
Right?
