The ancient darkspawn that you fight in dead trenches, was if im not wrong, along with the others, the first mage that entered the golden city and is actually one of the original mages that corrupted it. Can anyone confirm this, if they have fought this beast?

Doubtful. I would assume those mages are much more powerful by now, or all dead. Besides, isn't the ancient darkspawn a melee fighter?

There's no confirmation that event even happened... Actually there's nothing even confirming any relation to darkspawn and that event even if it did happen. That's all just what the church tells you. True or not is for you to decide. All anyone knows for sure is the darkspawn came up from the ground.

We're not even sure if there ever was a Golden City (although it is likely, in my opinion) and/or that it was ever corrupted by Tevinter magisters, if anyone.

well you can assume that it was one of the first mages since its very old and also you can see the black city from the fade!
