A book written by me will be more effective than a hologram of me.

Even if it was possible, there's no point. You're still going to die and the consciousness will simply be a copy that thinks it's you, it won't do anything outside of it's programming.
This Canadian says it all.

Now if you can teach your hologram to write a book for you....provided people still read books in 2045.

Yes, I would certainly agree that the whole "solve the mysteries of human consciousness and reverse engineer the brain" thing seems extremely unlikely by 2045.
However, if there are huge advances in medicine as well as haptic and neural interfaces, conceivably it might become possible to keep someone's brain alive separated from their body for some extended period of time, and why not keep it inside your robot, or somewhere remotely controllilng your avatar.

All your mind, who you are, exists in a electrical format within your Brain.
To transfer this in an everlasting machine would be the next step in our evolution.
We evolve and advance through machines, it's only natural that one day, we become them too.

Hell as far as bongo claims from "scientists" *coughquackscough* goes I should have been born on the Moon and planes should have props bigger than them.

I was joking. But the angry way you responded makes me think I probably should call them.

As an edit not just you, anyone really. We all hurt and harm others no matter how good we are, we do horrible things at one time or another. Our mortal coil, and with them our deaths are the only true justice. I mean think of a World in which say hitler or Ted Bundy were ever living. Its not a pretty picture. And you can't really regulate tech like that based on moratlity. As frankly crimes might not be done till later. So in a way death is the only true justice.
Plus who wants Donald Trump or Obama and Bush living forever? lulz.

You are just so positive like all the time.
Seriously if someone threw a million dollars at you you'd find some way to make it look nasty and evil.
All I'm sayain is if we become big blue aliens I'm out.

I wouldn't worry. You'll be dead and bug food while the world keeps turning.
You're a good example of what's wrong with people. If everyone thinks like you humanity will never progress. thankfully people like that would have little to no interest in exetending their lives through cybernetics. So just live your life, and die sad and bitter. Those of us who give a sh*t will try and fix the mess everyone else leaves behind.
Now, how long until we have something like this

Where we can dump our brains into indefinitely?

I would make use of it, but all the same I would not trust it and be on the look out for that person in the future having some task for me. In the many years humans have been here the bad has heavily outweighed the good. Besides it might be a pain to get a bank to take 1 million dollar bills lulz >>
And wut you don't like the Chiss?
He is not happy with you.

In all seriousness, this seems like a really bad idea. But maybe it's because I don't like the idea of being immortal...

Well if your thinking is limited by your religious/philosophical beliefs and/or firmly grounded in the stance that nothing evolves, then yes.
