Even if it's not solo, it could be like Overlord or LotSB, where the squadmates come along but have no new content (they either say nothing, or in the case of LotSB, have a single line recycled from the main game).

I'm expecting that they plan to do better with ME3 DLC (the DA2 DLC brought all the companions back, all with new content), but we don't have confirmation yet, and I can't say whether I'm even going to get the DLC until I know if the squad is returning with new content.

yeah, the silent squadmates bugged me in ME2 DLC as good as the conent was.  Or if temp companions are assigned hopefully they have some interesting dialog anyway.

Javik and Kaidan. The veteran of the last Reaper war, and my LI. Seems fitting.

Plus, they're my biotic dream team, seeing as I keep Liara locked up on the ship.

She's the Shadow Broker. Her job isn't to go places and shoot things... also, I don't really like her.

This is known, because you have to go underwater in the Atlas (which only seats one person).

But I'm still hopeful they'll be available and have content for earlier parts of the mission. All I need is for somebody to confirm it.

That's kind of why I was worried, seeing that.  It reminds me of Manaan in KOTOR so hopefully it's just a small part of it.

I try to convince myself to take people other than Liara and Garrus, but I just can't do it. Liara is my Shepard's love interest and provides some much needed biotics, and Garrus is the Green Arrow to my Green Lantern. Overload helps too.

Very nice reference there. I like that. 

Though I don't see Garrus as the hotheaded Oliver Green Arrow, more of the calmer but precision deadly Connor Green Arrow, which would make you Kyle - who is my favorite Green Lantern, eff off Hal.

 really depends on class for combat, but won't make a difference story if characters are mute like they were in me2 dlc
