Every commercial video game is about making money, if not, you should get it completely free.

There is a big difference between making a videogame for making money and making a videogame for the enjoyment of making a videogame

That's why I put "commercial" in front of video game. I do aware a lot of game designers enjoy making games but when a publisher make them products, and sell them to masses, the whole production process is about to make money. Also I just do not understand why people think making money is naturally a bad thing if the developer indeed put hard work in it, but the real question is did they? I am not defending mass effect 3's dlc, but I saw some people still want more ME3 single player contents so I do not see why they should not make them if there are markets.

No idea what's the point of this "Levithian" thing you're talking about OP. Leviathan's point on the other hand is to expand the game by a couple of hours for a modest sum.

I certainly agree with you - I've never understood why so many people consider 'profit' to be a bad word. I have no problem whatsoever paying for a quality product; having said that, I don't view ME3 as a quality product ... at least the ending wasn't (in my view) Mass Effect quality. So I'm withholding my money. Simple as that

This is a case where the journey is only worth taking if the end is worth reaching. If you were happy with the end, then additional experiences leading to that ending are great. Otherwise this seems like a waste of time and money, because it won't be enjoyable.

If you feel that at the end of the car ride you're going to have someone take a hammer to your fingers, stopping for candy along the way isn't going to make the trip any more fun.

It stopped being fun when it was realized Mass Effect 3 is a disappointingly sub par product compared to the other two.

Heck, if we were to head canon the DLC, we'd likely ruin it for those who wish to buy it. I got a feeling that it's going to be a bit of a surprise addition to the game and will make replay much better. A turn of events that should get role players a nice twist. For me, it's a given what is in store in this DLC, but I could be wrong about that, lol. I've always figured there was an undertow to the game, a buried story within the story that's yet to be disclosed. Maybe this DLC will provide that, for me anyways.

I realized this after I played single player demo which is quite disappoiting compared to mass effect 2. Well, I still ended up getting the game on sale and overall it is actually better than I feared. However I still do not think they can produce any content as great as the lair of shadow borker at current state.

Nothing, as long as there is a fun story to tell:  Not much fun in the lair of the starbrat.

Won't even consider single player DLC unless it -heavily- affects the still -in my opinion- garbage ending. Which won't happen. So no more ME3 for me.

Not everything needs to be involved with the endings, dude.

It does when its the last chapter of the story

No it doesn't mate, else ME3 would be lacking a lot of content as it is.

The purpose is to get EA more money and maybe more than a few of the workers want to actually offer you more entertainment.

It should take place before encountering the starchild, so leviathan will probably just be avoiding the truth as we all know about it allready, since obviously we shouldnt have met the thing yet and it should all remain a big surprise... Should prove to be irritating im sure.

I just read the description of the leviathan dlc...something to kill a reaper...why bother you just do some spacemagic mojo at the end and all is for naught.
I actually find it a bit sad that there is hardly a game out there that just gives what a customer wants...customer wants Kotor 3 customer gets MMO . customer wants ME3 war story and gets spacemagic absolutely sad I can go on for ever on this :P

We already know we can't win with any weapons no matter how infinitely prepared we are. Shepard is killed so who cares about a few extra EMS points?

Why did you pay for Overlord or LOTSB?

Because I thought it would make some difference to the ending of the trilogy.  More fool me eh?

Why would I buy a DLC centered around some amazing power that could kill reapers when I know it'll make no difference to the ending?  I sort of already know the entire mission is a massive failure that, at best, will net me some war assets that make no difference to the amount I already have.
