What's the Point of Levithian?

Now that an SP DLC is announced, people are still complaining about everything, and almost it's like asking why BioWare is bringing out DLC. OR what's the point of DLC and whatever.
Error: my brain is starting to malfunction.
I don't have a clue about what's going on anymore.

really? if you dont like the damn game, sell it and move on!!!! I like the game because of the storyline of the series...I dont study games...I play games...maybe that is why I dont see "the major flaws"...but then again...Idc..I play games for the fun factor...not the logic factor..Mastone wrote...
No I think people who still like ME3 like it so much they don't see the -major- flaws that comes with it and defend it almost religion like.xsdob wrote...

ME3 is neither fun nor about the story, it's about making money. And that's the point of the DLC
I agree with garrus, why are you here in the ME3 section than? Wouldn't the ME1 or ME2 sections be better, that way you could talk about games that have fun and a story and not encounter so much resistence to your opinions?
LOL no resistance here , I honestly don't get why some people keep defending ME3 ( and maybe even ME2 for that matter)and Bioware and are seeking for hidden storylines and subplots .
I think we still post here because we actually care about what happened to the ME franchise and voice our displeasure and hope that someone at EA/Bioware wakes up until then I fear we may not expect anything good coming from Bioware any time soon
EDIT: I guess I can see that point, a little over generalizing in your presentation, but I understand.
i actually wished I could like it, but (imo) its just to bad

The differnce was Shephard was still alive at the time in ME2, and he's dead in ME3.Gibb_Shepard wrote...

We already know we can't win with any weapons no matter how infinitely prepared we are. Shepard is killed so who cares about a few extra EMS points?
Why did you pay for Overlord or LOTSB?

What ever happened to just buying DLC for fun and for the story?
I bought LotSB because I liked Liara (in ME1 more than later versions) and I didn't even care to get Overlord eventually. I just kind of broke down and got in a a spending splurge.
And as far as fun and story, Overlord is my reason to that. Overlord added an additonal story and let me have a nice little renegade/paragon way to deal with. Is it worth one person's comfort and individuality if you can potentially save an entire race (or several). My main Shepard is a renegade. I felt the sacrifice of one person was worth it especially since it wasn't even a life sacrifice. All he had to do was endure math noises for a bit. Unfortunately this was all screwed up by the pointless crucifixation and Clockwork Orange setup. My renegade Shep also still becomes hostile to Archer when agreeing that it is necessary. That was annoying but at least my sacrifice to control the Geth and the potentially cool revelation that Shepard is transhuman enough to enter the Matrix like a machine should come back. Unfortunately the renegade option in Overlord is treated like a middle finger in ME3 and if you do the Geth FIghter mission they make up some other reason for why Shepard could enter the Geth consensus instead of the actually cool possibility.
Basically, Overlord's story was lame and only came back into play marginally if you picked the paragon option. Random Sidequest DLC like Leviathan would possibly be acceptable if it was in ME2. In ME3, I don't really care to do another quest that doesn't mean anything. If it doesn't affect squadmates, it doesn't affect Shepard, and it doesn't affect the ending, I don't care. More Mass Effect worked in ME2 (kind of) because of hope that it played into ME3 because I wanted it to affect the end. I would take something like LotSB because it was character driven and I liked that character. But more Mass Effect for the sake of more Mass Effect isn't going to cut it. If this DLC doesn't have any hidden depths for Shepard that have not been announced or something, I really don't care.

As for those who like the game and aren't stuck for the rest of their lives complaining about the endings...well, sometimes people have a favorite book, movie, game, etc. and want more time with characters they like, along with more insights into the story. In the case of Leviathan, we'll hopefully find out a bit more about Reaper origins and the creator race through him. Even if we don't, I'll still enjoy more time with my squaddies and seeing new sights,
Now go form a support group where you cry in the arms of like-minded folks who can't move on with their lives. Oh, and winning through conventional means has repeatedly been emphasized as being a no-go throughout the series, so yeah, you have unrealistic expectations.

Well it was all fine and dandy when there wasn't a cap on things. We could think "Yeah, no only is this DLC fun, but I'm changing how the galaxy is in this universe. I've done good/bad and I might get a chance to see it play out."
Now with ME3's ending it all means for naught and I can't get that fact out of my mind.
As soon as I finish it it'll be like "Well cool, but how did that help again? Anything I learn here won't help me tell GlowBoy to sod off and stop being stupid."

Who cares if the DA2 dlc was good or bad? Bioware did not fix chapter 3 so people did not buy the dlc's that is why they stopped making them.

They stopped making them to move people on to DA3, and rolled the expansion into it aswell, well thats what I thought

Don't know about anyone else, but I bought them because I was given the impression that they ( along with every major decission in the trilogy ) would have some major impact and influence on the ending of the trilogy.
I bought them because I was given the impression that the decisions I made would carry forward and help to personalise the trilogy ending. Making it unique to my Shepard.
You know... Like we were promised would happen right up untill the week before release.
