Most of, if not all, of the promo items for DAO can now be downloaded from Bioware and manually installed. Is/will this be the case for the DAII items? It'd be nice to be able to get the stuff I missed.

There are no downloads for those items. They're included with the game and enabled when you log in with an account that has the appropriate authorizations.

Some of the Origins promotional items don't require authorization (so you can just download them from the server and install and use them), but the ones that do still can't be obtained illicitly as far as I'm aware.

I'm not looking to do anything "illicit." The DAO promos are now offered up for free from Bioware, I was hoping there was a way to get DA2 promos, as well. Heck, I'd be more than wiling to pay for them; but since they were never directly for sale, I figured this was my best bet.

I wasn't passing judgment.

I just used it since it was never the officially supported method for obtaining those items. :-)

All of the promotional items that were available before or at release were included with the game, and they only show up if you log into an account that has them authorized. The fan appreciation and MotA bonus items were downloadable, but they require authorization as well.

I don't believe there are any items that are available without authorization, so there's no way to legitimately obtain them unless you can still get codes for them (I think PC players could hack in the promotional items, but I don't recall specifics).

Thanks. That's helpful. If the promo codes were just unlocked, then there's hope. All I have to do is figure out an alternative way of unlocking them; which should be much easier than hunting down non-included files.

In the meantime, I've got ebay searches saved for all the promos, and I get emails if anyone posts them. It's always nicer to have them tied to my account.

I am doubtful they will release any more DLC for Dragon Age 2 since they ceased all production on the third story based DLC. I hope you have success finding the items you are looking for.  It might change if they bundled an "Ultimate Edition", but I am unsure of that as well.

Oh, I've no doubt they're not making anything new. I was just hoping they'd release the old stuff.
