Bioware look, the majority of fans don't like the endings and the ones who do, if presenting with the choice, would choose a new ending over the old at the end of the day

I will leave "the majority of fans..." discussion to each person's interpretation. Certainly those who did not like the endings are much more vcal abotu it than those who did. The Extended Cut was "the end of the endings". The team is moving on with DLC for people who want more ME3 gameplay, but there are not planned to be any more "endings".

How do you want please fanbase which is so fractioned like BSN?

Conventional victory. All anyone wants is a sense of VICTORY, to be a HERO.

Really? Did you see some of conventional victory threads? They are as full of people demanding it same as people claiming its stupid. In fact this is one of these things which polarised BSN most.

No. Original ending polarised BSN the most. Then synthesis/anti- synthesis. Then come IT/anti IT wars. Conventional/non-conventional do not even get bronze.
And i fail to see why ADDING it as one of options is so problematic - there is synthesis that makes even less sense as far as ME universe goes.

I hated the original endings, I had already lost faith in Mass Effect.
But when the Extended cut came out, I was okay, the endings were fixed, its not perfect, but its okay (opinion) anyway, so I'll keep playing mass effect 3.
I'll be buying the upcoming DLC, hopefully it's good.

Yes, it will be nice to have a new ending, but that's not necessary anymore.

It's a dumb idea because most people are satisfied with the EC and would rather have content we can actually PLAY, rather than another set of photoshopped powerpoint slides licensed from shutterstock.

Not to be mean or offensive, but I do hope you get fired and there will be an ending the mass effect series deserves.

Whelp, you're not getting a new ending.  You are not going to get what you want.  EVER.

So... I guess enjoy being miserable continuing to comment on something that you hate?

Way to project dude!  Where did I say I hated anything?  I don't hate ME3.  I find the ending unfulfilling...thus I don't want to replay it.

Furthermore, as this is a forum.   I am allowed to comment on anything I like.  I may be disappointed in ME3 SP, but I'm in no way miserable.  I'm sorry if you are.  Image IPB

Then they should start planning a "new" ending. Not entire new endings, but just finish the ones you have. Most notably Destroy. And give players a reason to believe anything the Star Child says. It basically lies to you throughout the entire conversation and then expects you to commit suicide based solely on its say so. Control and synthesis cannot be anything but indoctrinated endings as written.

As for all you haters, I think you can take your leave now.  They're not changing the endings.  That's it.  End of Story.  You can either continue to play the game and enjoy it, or you can move on to greener pastures.  No sense in you staying here and wallowing in your own misery.

I own a registered copy of Mass Effect 3.  That entitles me to post here, provided I stay within the rules.  As such, I'm free to stay here and "wallow" for as long as I wish.  And since ME3 doesn't give me the entertainment I desire, thanks to those atrocious endings, I'm going to have to entertain myself  elsewhere (like here) until a decent game does come out.

And you can...how does that phrase go you folks like to toss about so much?  Oh yeah...

I want a true happy end, not just “dead hero” end. And I don’t need anyone’s approval of my opinion, so you can keep your “get over it” attitude to yourselves.

However, as Chris has stated above, there will be no more endings and it is dead clear to me that it is true. Most likely I won’t be a customer of BioWare any longer (it is a combination of various factors: ME3 disappointment,
company’s constant denial of existing problems and “silence shield”, unappealing PR tactics of MP vs SP DLCs, and some others). And it makes me sad, because I’ve been with BW since first NWN and loved it so far. ME is dead for me now, but if BW makes an awesome game that gets positive feedback from fans (not some “official” ratings a-la A+ and 100 score), I might buy it. And I have nothing against EA too, because I honestly do not think this is anyhow their fault that BW failed to deliver a product to my expectations.

And I will still stay on this forum because: a) it’s my right until I violate forum’s rule (which I have no intentions to do :)); and B) I am waiting for Survey reports out of personal curiosity.

Outside your paranoia that is a basless claim that is contradicted by what is shown in the actual ending sequence

But I hope it's a nice bus.  Something classy.  Maybe a stretch limo will work.

i love how you can speak for us people who are perfectly fine with the ending. you're not getting new endings and i absolutely loveeee bioware for refusing to give them to you.

I kind of agree. I think that game developers should only change so much and then just stop. Because if Bioware were to alter the ending AGAIN, it would set a precedent in the future where if fans weren't happy with a game, they could just simply pull a Fallout 3/Mass Effect 3 and demand the ending be changed. This is not good. Am I defending Artistic Integrity? Kinda sort of. Think of the Extended Cut as like Biowares version of a Directors Cut. Changing the ending AGAIN would only further undermime their competence to make artistic decisions. Sooner or later, Bioware and other companies need to HOLD THE LINE.

To be honest, I normally would agree except for the fact that with the ending this game currently has, the film Wall-E has more artistry than Mass Effect 3. Which had a completely different lead writer. If Drew, the man who started Mass effect can have his vision for it changed by this unqualified self entitled "artist" then Mac can certainly stomach his own bull**** to change what the majority of the world considered crap at one point and barely a "meh" at this point.

So in this particular case, and seeing as how the people here paid more for this trilogy than almost any other at 60-80 bucks apiece, not including DLC and invested hundreds of hours into it they deserve as much as anyone to get something decent out of this product, not this half assed piece of **** some guy too high on himself and too in love with Deus Ex HR thinks is the best thing he's ever written
