I love it.
Slap a level 3///4 mod on it and it will destroy everything in your way.

I also tried it on the demolisher but looks like i will stick to the destroyer+typhoon combo. On any other class/character its just a chore to use as the stagger & re-spin again makes it frustrating. Not to mention it loses all the firing rate & accuracy bonuses that the devastator mode gives it which makes it effective.

People were not upset about the penetration nerf but the damage nerf. The penetration nerf was justified as it was way more than even the sniper rifles. The damage nerf was not too good.

^This, but it actually may work at a highly reduced effect. If your "secondary" were to be a gun without innate armor piercing, and you had AP Ammo III, you would still penetrate Guardians' shields with the "secondary," but with much difficulty. Also, even if you have guns of equal levels, the one you don't start out with will be considered your "secondary" and will also have a reduced effect. I assume there is a heirarchy with gun classes. With an AR & SG at equal evels, the AR will be considered Primary.

And since the destroyer got nerfed can we please have our old typhoon back?
The new one is ok and all but it's really not oustanding as an UR should be on anything thats not the destroyer...
I think my hurricane can kill an atlas just as fast. So an SMG kills at the same rate as a 2.0 weight ultra rare assault rifle with a 4 shot ramp up period.

I agree that it should be buffed somehow. Not sure if they should bring back the ramp up multiplier back to 2.0, that would make it completely outclass the PPR (PPR right now is better against bosses but Typhoon is better against mooks due to the faster ramp up time), but then again the Typhoon is way heavier so there's that.
I do wonder if having its damage reduction from cover feature actually working would be enough... eh, hard cover, meh, yeah, wouldn't really be enough.
