Playing Through for the First Time with a New Romance...

Every time I've played through the series(twice with Mass Effect 1: once as my first blind playthrough, the second as my perfect playthrough, induced because all my save data for Mass Effect disappeared one day/many times with ME2/three times with ME3), I've romanced Tali. I always liked her since the first game, and was glad to see her be romanceable in ME2, and did so in every playthrough I've ever done. I've never romanced anyone else.
So I decided to play through ME1 again and romance Liara. I did that, talking to Ashley also, and halfway through the romance I began to like Ashley more, actually. So I finished the Liara romance, loaded up a save, and went back and romanced Ashley instead.
However, I'm afraid to go into ME2 now, because it will be awkward to not romance Tali. I'm so used to it that it will seem weird, knowing I shouldn't have an emotional attachment to her in this playthrough. I've never been one for "Do a playthrough and to this, this, and this, and then do another playthrough with that, these, and those." I always felt that I should play the game and make the decisions I wanted to make, not play it just to see what happens in certain parts with certain things. I can look that up on YouTube.
So has anyone else felt this way, or am I just weird?

It must be you. I don't feel that way at all.

I think he means "does anyone else feel like he does in that you feel wierd not romancing the same charecter you always do."; which judging by your comment, you do aswell/

As I said, I only romance Tali, so after playing throuth the games so many times (especially ME2), I'm so used to it that it's strange to imagine going through the game, especially the Loyalty Mission, without that. Wouldn't it feel a bit strange playing through ME2 and 3 without romancing Miranda?

Otherwise yes if I use my main Sheps face and romance anyone that isn't Tali it does feel awkward. If that makes any sense at all...Might be why I don't really like to play Sheploo since you see pics with him and every LI. XP

Two for ME (Ashley and Liara)
Three for ME2 (Miranda twice and Liara continuation)
I was going to do a Tali run and a "faithful to Ashley run". But then ME3 and its dreaded endings hit. Haven't really played since, apart from seeing the EC Control ending with my Shep.
My "canon" is Ashley in ME and Miranda for the rest. But I have no issues with "alternate universes" where other romances happen. (but it was bloody difficult not talking to Miranda in that Liara run)

Then again, the only non-Miranda romance I consider canon was ME1-Ashley, moving on to Miranda in ME2+3. Every other Shepard is single in ME1.

It was also weird when I had to leave Kaidan on Virmire in my BroShep/Ash romance. I still got through it and everything, but yeah.
Same with not romancing Miranda in ME2. Dumped her for Jack on one playthrough and while I love Jack, it was still strange.

Just cuz you strike it out, doesnt make it true. Like I originally said, be a real man and make the best mistake of your life.

"I settle for nothing but the best."
Don't tell me you want Shepard to be sub-optimal...

Just romance Ash.
There's a reason she's in the commercials and Jack/Miranda don't even get a proper goodbye...

Not making mistakes is the worst way to live life. I like my women like I like my bread...CRAZY!!!
And since we're throwing out quotes "So F**k you, and thanks for asking."
