Albeit, I didn't have many problems with my 360 copy of DA:O, although I've been reading and reading about the problems that do exist and I've witnessed here the utter neglect BW has shown their customers -- Only posting in irrelevent threads about achievements or character uploads and then mentioning a patch shortly before a long, drawn-out bout of silence.
And then of course you have EA. We all know EA and well, I simply hope they just stop existing at some point.
I'd like to say that I am in high anticipation for ME2, BUT, if things go down like they have here, in regards to support, for ME2, ME3 and all other EA/BioWare titles will not recieve any attention from me nor my wallet.
Look at Blizzard, sure they corrupted the entire MMO community and created an ugly monster that reigns unrelenting even five years later, but look at how they handle their games. I mean, damn, they're still updating Diablo 2, right? And they are pretty vocal about what's going on and although I have had bad experiences with Blizzard, they DO talk to their customers. Since, you know, you're giving them money.
Take lessons BioWare. The more attention you pay to your budget/wallet, the less consumers will care about anything you have to say or release (in regards to any other games), buggy as they may be.
I'm not an expert on these things, but I've been playing games since Super Mario Brothers. Theoretically, I know what it takes to be a company that people actually want to buy games from.
But hey, you guys are trying to get that new DLC out, don't let me keep you.
In retrospect...

Hehe, you think they pay attention to your thread? Very noble of yours, we tried really.
Either way, it is true, vocal companies fare better then the silent and vague ones. They should be slain, as EA destroyed creativity and Westwood above all. I cannot take they buy up every good company that makes a promising title or two. They said they would be going to a different course, but nooo, after a month or two, they decided this wasn't generating money -enough- and ahheeer...The utter lack ofcreativity and idiotic costumer service popped in.

couldn't have said it better myself.
About 25 days ago i contacted EA customer support because i cannot register my game, and therefore cannot post in the spoiler forums (very friggin annoying!). After 10 days i finally got a response, and the stupid Jack hole that read my problem apparently doesn't speak english and asked for more info on the problem. So i spelled it out for them step by step. That was 14 days ago, and still no response.
Really great job on the customer support EA !

Cannot speak english? You ever tried having an someone from Indonesia handling your complaint when you phone Xbox360 Microsoft support whereas you live in Europe?
As you might realize, this is an anarchy.

Acually yes, a buddy of mine's 360 red ringed, i took pleasure being a total a hole with the guy. I basically went off on him like i would Bill Gates if givin the chance.
Also i love how you mentioned the fact that EA buys up all these great Dev studios and then just turns they're back on them when the moneys not rolling in. And in the same day Spends 250 million on a deal with playfish. To make stupid facebook and myspace games.
I was at the EA store and they asked me to take a survey, I really hope somebody read what i had to say.

However, I do compliment your extensive gaming history. I've been around since the DOS games where a typo would ruin your entire command line.
However, I don't hold my breath. There are too many games out here, but I play DA:O when I miss the interaction with my companions.

It's worth remembering that Edge of Reality does the console versions of DA: O. They work with Bioware, of course, but we certainly need to consider the company doing the actual console work in the first place, and I have only seen people pointing at Bioware and/or EA while neglecting the critical role of Edge of Reality.
We may want to consider that EA began as a premiere PC game company that understood that electronic media were artforms like any other, except with far more potential due to interactivity options. The publishing aspect and any associated problems came much later. When EA first launched with games such as Starflght and Archon, they were unbeatable and stressed creative artistic efforts in the new medium more than anything else. For myself, I wish the sports focus would vanish or shift to somewhere else both in academic institutions and life in general, including electronic gaming.
That being said, Blizzard is hardly a good example for comparison, and compared to the tens of millions of users of various Asian MMOs, they are certainly not the largest or most successful in the global market. Western market, yes - global market, not even close. But then again, some companies that have big reputations have not impressed me, and Blizzard is merely one of several. Everyone has their own favorites for different reasons, I am sure.
As for Bioware's silence, DA: O is a new title and franchise. I'm sure they are following the responses and other info sources, but they have to actually work on the title. I'm not sure what types of replies people want: "we're working on the title" gets repetitive after all and should be obvious. Also, I have not seen many of the glitches people have posted about on the 360 version, although I have noticed a few things that need fixed. In addition, the entire Tactics is poorly coded and implemented, but that probably won't change until the next game (if there is one) because it seems that they made a design decision to do the system the way it currently is (more's the pity). Aside from a couple of minor graphic bugs and typos in dialogue, as well as one incorrectly linked spoken dialogue, and the broken poison/traps radial menu, I have not seen any other consistent bugs after a couple hundred hours of multiple playthrus. I wonder if part of the problem may be different Xbox 360 systems with different chipsets, updates, etc. It's possible, I think. Corrupted files could be other issues such as hard drives problems that crop up, not necessarily DA: O, per se. Stuff like that seems possible, anyway.

Well said, may I add, a remarkable sharp tongue you have there. Yes, Edge of Reality did port the game, but they could be more responsible and outspoken and atleast try not forwarding us to BW when we contact EA and vice versa.
That pisses people off and makes them feel betrayed, because they aren't really speaking to us, just remaining away.
