She is no more valid than any other character that can die. Why should she be special enough for people to soften up to the Reapers by choosing the other two endings?

There's also the Geth. The question one has to ask themselves at the end is whether they're willing to sacrafice an entire people for something that will work, when there are other potential solutions. Its a personal question, but one that should be answered taking into accountt that synthetics have as muchright to exist as organics.

That is debatable, you should speak with Javik. :innocent:

Nothing has the right to exist.  There only exists a right to try.

The Reapers once tried to wipe out the toaster people of Breadi VI.

After seeing the depths of evil there they fled the system never to return.

If the synthetics from Old World Blues were in ME (especially Muggy) I would have a much harder time picking Destroy than I do.

Spoiler alert: The Big MT appliances are the result of a universe where Shepard choose the green explosion.

Which automatically makes it terribad.

Never mention Synthesis while comparing something from New Vegas. Ever.

Thought it's taken decades to build what little programming we have now... it would be centuries in ME time.  Computer progress has already been proven to be faster than any other technolgoical leap by an astounding rate, so whose to say this isn't a kind of evolution that ends up resulting into a consciousness pararellel to our own?

Because you need organics to create the synthetic intelligence....?

... Unless you're saying that synthetics can create themselves.

We place far too much value on organic processes when we don't even understand consciousness on ANY level in relation to an actual biological system.

That's because consciousness is tied to the brain. inb4 "we don't understand how consciousness works!"

It is a complete and utter mystery and thus us saying an AI can't be conscoiusness of equal value is quite absurd and shows are arrogant ignorance.

Again, no it isn't.

Then please, enlighten us how to consciousness works?  :I'd really love to hear this considering science has struggled to explain this in any detailed terms.  And no, "it's tied to the brain" isn't a good answer.  Doesn't even answer one element of it.

And saying no it isn't wihtout any proof... tsk tsk tsk... I keep forgetting the BSN is home to people that don't know how to formulate an actual argument and just assume their word is gospel.

She was better in ME3. In ME2 her role and character was mainly the token AI exposition fairy that hacked consoles remotely on occassion. She was charming, but ultimately shallow. In ME3 she at least had some character beyond teasing Joker and being the sympathetic machine. She was like a newborn coming to understand the world. It seems many here just can't look past the body (yes it was stupid nerdbait) or are the emotionally-shattered Jokermancers. I look at the character.

But even then Bioware didn't handle her as well a they could have. What I didn't like about her was her "I am alive... no wait now I am... wait now... wait last time I promise." It really cheapened her development.

Oh yes and everyone please stop comparing beings that can make intelligent choices and develop personalities to toasters. How about I just call all humans apes? If you can't then please consider the fact your existance could easily be a artificial and inflexible as what you say theirs is, just with neurochemicals and cellular replication. It seems many like to twist the fact they just sacrificed a race that dreamed and aspired for the future and understanding like everyone else. The Geth and EDI had poor characterization in ME3, but the fact remains they were life that deserved consideration in the final choice.
