Actually amend that. Just played through Thessia again and listening to Lt. Kurin and her squad scream for help as a reaper lands on them brought tears to my eyes.

No matter how many times I've played through the scene, Anderson's death still gets me teary-eyed and depressed. He's been the most loyal mentor, commander, friend, and even father figure to Shepard. Then to then be gunned down (technically) by Shep's hands is ... tragic and always makes me realize there's something caught in my eye. Just ... can't ... get it out. <sniff>

Mordin and Thane.

Thane especially as his prayer for Shepard pretty much foreshadows my ending choice of Destroy.

I know it's your opinion, but you're wrong.

OH GOD WHY?!?! :crying:

But in all seriousness, a romanced Miranda's death is... heartbreaking. It is truly upsetting and heartwrenching to watch, and also because it has a lot of content about the romance that we don't get to see Miri lives.

Ashley.

There must have been more to that seeker sting than I first thought.

Based on what I have actually done in game it has to be killing Wrex yourself if you betrayed him. Ugh I felt like a complete **** after that too. I'm never doing it again.

Jack turning into a Phantom - even though it's not a "death", to be turned into a Cerberus experiment again...

Poor work on Bioware's part if Shepard is romancing her, he reacts the same. Could of been an emotional scene.

It wasn't the "best" death per se, but the one that always makes me sad is that Dorn'Hazt guy. Most of the other deaths in my game were mixed with some degree of triumph (Mordin, Victus, etc.) but that one had none of that going for it; it was just depressing.

it would be Kaidan for me but I never allowed that once... I feel sad for Ashley but I will always chose Kaidan.
Miranda's death was upsetting but I amanged to save her last time I played
In the end the only one I couldn't save was Mordin really and it's sad.
I got the best possible ending and yet I find myself emotionally broken

This. Not the whole part of her being a phantom but when you get out of the hanger bay on cronos station and when she says I will tear you apart, and the doctor replies funny i was thinking the same thing and then you hear her scream. Felt absolutely terrible.

The Legion one, because is so ****ing forced! My favourite character dies like that.... There are other geths with the reapers' upgrade, like the prime units.

Mordins was bittersweet. He was more than happy to cure the genophage but it still brings a bro tear to my eye.

Tali? Suicide? I don't know what you all are talking about. That's never happened in any of my playthroughs. (Selective denial is awesome!)

I was sad to see Kal die via e-mail. He was an awesome character and was just wasted.

I know it wasn't a death but the whole situation with Overlord was just terrible.

Legion, when I've used my characters that I started with ME2, and thus was not able to save both the geth and quarians. He was so helpful and friendly and honest with you, especially compared to the quarians who so obviously would and did screw you when it was to their advantage. As Tali later said upon reflection, you had to murder a friend to get this, and I was left wondering if the quarians deserved what I'd just given them.

When you can save the quarians and the geth, his death is sad but not that sad, especially since he voluntarily accepted it. It's when you and Tali murder him in order to save a bunch of worthless, selfish, greedy backstabbers that it became sad. He just wanted to save his own people, and he was always straight with you.

Thane's because I wasn't expecting it that early in the game & that he'd have so little worth story wise.

Thane, but only because I would never let Miranda (romanced or not) die in one of my games.

Legion. I almost cried after he told Tali "Keelah Se'lai".

I also saw Wrex's ME3 death on YouTube, and one has to be a bag of d***s to betray him.

And if you want to be as big a bag of d***s, you can let Samara kill herself, then murder the daughter she killed herself to save.
