I choked up a little on Legion's death and Anderson.

Thane's, Mordin's and Anderson's deaths for me. Tali's suicide would have topped them all but it can never happen!

DOM!!
Very few games get character attachment down quite like Bioware does...but Epic really gives them a run for their money in GoW 3.

I know technically not a death but still one of the sadist moments when you realize that your your not coming back
SH*T
Pick destroy. We both get what we want. I get blue babies, and you get to build Tali a house on Rannoch.
There are no alternatives.

Mordin both the paragon and Renegade death are 2 of the saddest for me, I find Thanes very sad to, going to dread seeing it from a LI view.
Ash and Kaidans deaths, but not cause of them, cause of garrus's scene aboard the Normandy if he killed them.

If I allowed Talis death, then Tali lol partly for biased reasons.

That, of course, demands either you have the guts to do the dirty work by yourself OR let the VS live.
I prefer the later one.
'nother sad dead:
Mass Effect Series.

Mordin's death was definitely the saddest for me and I also really hated Legion dying. Both times I actually cried.
Thane and Anderson's deaths were also sad, of course, but they did not make me cry.

Other then that, people don't tend to die in my playthroughs.

Hell no, letting Garrus kill Kaidan helps build up my Garrusmancers relationship lol.

Anderson's death made me upset too- I definitely always saw him as a father figure to my Shepards. In terms of the change in relationship from ME1&2 vs ME3 it is far more personal but I think you can write that off easily. ME1 Anderson is your bona fide superior and direct boss. In ME2 depending on your decisions naturally- he's in a position of power but he's not YOUR boss and yet you still have a relationship that is stronger than what is displayed within the game. You can assume it in certain ways- and then in ME3 you've been grounded on Earth and stripped of rank due to your Cerberus days so Anderson while not your official boss anymore bc you're aren't technically an Alliance soldier (until you are leaving Earth and get reinstated) he's there having a relationship with you that would definitely allow for father figure allowances and feelings over the course of three games IMO. But I totally understand how some people would have preferred it to stay more professional and have that *option*. Options were far less in this game obviously.
I hated that Legion had to die. If I had my way I'd let Tali do herself in and let Legion live. Her people for the most part just pissed me off continually throughout the entire game series.
Mordin made me sad, singing the song was certainly poignant and I wished I could save him!
I wanted to save everyone and Earth. Although I played Paragon practically to the hilt throughout my many iterations through all three games- my first and only full play through to the ending in ME3 my Shepard dies because I accidentally chose the synthesis option and it only showed my crew on the jungle planet afterward. I was so mad! I didn't feel like the "choices" were clearly presented and I just remembered running forward and then wth is this? I chose this? Uh ok.
Anyway yeah, it all made me sad. If they do any spin off games I hope it is post ME3 timeline :\\.
