If they're spamming the biotic/electric wave with a line of sight to the enemy, where you need to be, then they won't be doing it for long, since they'll get their brains blown out in short order. If they're behind a wall, you should be elsewhere putting lead on target or priming bad guys for combos, right? If they're just standing in the same place, spamming the waves, avoid that spot?

Then I dont think it an unreasonable request to move your sniping perch. The two classes shouldnt even be close to one another since one is long range, the other mid to close range. Yes I agree, if you're across the map spamming slash, then you obviously have no clue (just for the record, many people dont read these forums but eventualy figure it out). But there is nothing in the ME3 sniping handbook that you cant move.

Well it is. They are effective as crowd control and set of biotic/tech explosions/bursts. If you dont like it kick them. Hopefully they join my game.

So, you want us to not use one of our most important powers, one that is great for crowd control, so that you can take your time to take an easy shot againt a single enemy while we get overrun? No. I wouldn't ask someone not to use their arc grenades, nor would I ask someone not to use shockwave, nor would I ask someone not to use a typhoon, etc. So, no, I'm not going to leave my shadow vulnerable to being overrun and restrict myself to being little more than team medic and beacon boy so you can rack up easy kills. So, if you have that much of a problem playing with a shadow, then don't do it. Just don't whine if you get overrun or find it difficult to get someone to run through a mass of enemies to revive you when you're down.

When you're talking about a class that depends on shadow strike for targeted single kills and electric slash for groups, you it is unreasonable. You play your game and I'll play mine. Oh, and I don't spam the slash to go after a single guy. Maybe if he's about to stomp someone. Either way, it's more efficient to hit him with it once then gun him down while he's staggered. If you want to whine, whine to bioware and ask them to remove the shaking. Don't ask any class to "dial back" one of their most vital skills.

This. It's also useful during escort/hack waves. I'm not going to use my weapon or shadow strike when there is a pack of pyro's/hunters coming at me.

true. I'm getting tired of seeing a GI piranha in every one of my games. there are other classes.

I play for fun. I have fun using the most DPS setup I can think of and being a bad ass taking down mobs and bosses in seconds

Ah, so much truth here, I am also getting tired of seeing all the same loadout, and those self proclaimed "proplayers" thinking their opinion is the only way to play, and that an infiltrator should obligatory play with a Shotgun, because Sniper infiltrators are n00b.

Seriously, just let the players enjoy the game as they want, as long as it doesn't annoy you (I have to admit, the slashing spamming can be quite tiring while playing.)

Personally, my favorite character is the N7 Slayer, but I spec him out of the Biotic Slash, since spamming skills through wall while annoying my teammates is not really my thing.

I play the GI from time to time but I play other classes as well

Really don't understand how some want to claim they "play for fun" and others don't because they don't play the same way the poster does. first it was the farmers, now it's anyone who wants to use a setup they feel optimizes their performance for their play style? Some of us find it fun to waste enemies and win our matches. Using our heads and finding the setup or tactics that works best for us doesn't mean we're not having fun. Trust me, if I weren't having fun I wouldn't be playing this game.

True, but some like to play as they want to play too, and being told "Use a shotgun infiltrator" is a pointless comment as well when it comes to have fun with the loadouts you want.

Everyone has his way to play, to have fun, so just let them be, as long as they are not trolling their teammates.

Just to be clear, I have the piranha X, but I don't use it on my Infiltrator. I use the shadow, but I load it out with the Mattock X and the Phalanx X with ulm as an emergency backup. I use my cloak for tactical purposes, getting into position so I can shadow strike a lone enemy or electric slash groups. Also helps with reviving and completing some objectives. Love the Mattock for it's damage to weight ration and usefulness at all ranges.

As for Sniper Infiltrators... anyone tried the new Indra out yet on a sniper? It's Platinum viable now...

Not disagreeing with you there at all. I'm not in favor of anyone telling anyone else how they "should" play. If I don't like how someone's character is set up (normally has to do with weapon loatouts and gear that is ridiculous for that character...like heavy weapons on power dependant characters), I leave the lobby. I don't send them angry messages, I just choose not to play with them.

Think whatever you want. Shadows are fairly squishy characters. If I can wipe out groups of enemies or seriously weaken or kill a boss with an attack that prevents them shooting me to pieces, I don't consider that weak gameplay. I consider that smart gameplay. If you want to run right into the middle of a group of enemies and get shot up, go for it. Just make sure you don't talk trash to me before you do it, or you'll be bleeding out while I wipe out the guys that killed you from a safe position.

Unintentional benefit? Tell me you're joking? You really don't think the bioware developers knew the power went through walls before they released the dlc? The Shadow is a great character, but you have to know how to play it. It's not meant to stand out in the open and take hit after hit. It uses stealth and sneakiness to take out it's targets. Maneuavering your character so that it can strike through cover while the enemy can't immediately hit you fits perfectly with the character's design. Nothing unintentinal about it.
