I hope Bioware would at least be smart enough to make a patch that sets everyone's GR to 100% permanently.
But other than that, I wouldn't expect to see a single damn thing. This is EA. Their thought is "(Bleep) you and your online game. These two servers we're running cost like 65 bucks a month in upkeep. EACH!"

I think they were my favourite computer game company after Epyx (and before Activision).

Also, put me down for +1 support for offline play after the servers shut down.

Speaking of dissing EA (which apparently this thread is turning into), am I the only one who misses Electronic Arts back when this was their logo?

Wow. I haven't seen that logo in a while. Brings back good memories.
Also, Thanks for the support!

Offline servers+offline store would be nice, or just give us everything incrementally.
One can always dream.

I'm hoping they say something.
I would love if they just recognize the thread. That would almost be good enough for me right now.

I would love for some input on this from Bioware.
I highly enjoy ME3's MP and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. But there's always a few nagging questions in the back of my head:
What happens when the servers are finally shut down?
Seeing as everything including our unlocks are stored on the servers, does it all become lost?
My hope is that Bioware will put out a patch near the end of the game's MP life that will allow us to download everything we've unlocked to our Xboxes and be able to either play solo offline or with friends through system link.
Even though it's still early on in ME3's MP life, it would be nice if Bioware could shed some light on this subject. I know it would make me feel a bit better about all of the work I've put into this game and I'm sure it will for some of you as well.
Thanks for reading.
It is rather odd that this game's multiplayer can't be played offline or even with bots when you look at games like Gears of War 2 and 3 and Unreal Tournament 3. This game runs on the same engine as those games (Unreal Engine 3), so Bioware can't use the "it can't be done" defence that so many of this generation's game developers just love to use.
Actually you can. There's a whole thing out there I rather not post here and it's not my place to. They've turned it into a much better game with better balancing (from what I hear sniping is done really well, like a real developer would do it in some of the games you mentioned) and way more content. Lots of the big name modders from UT99-ut2004 community (Sinnthetika from UT2004 most notable) have created alot of content but it's out of Japan initially, supposedly a real game developer does it for fun and I didn't believe it until I saw a video conference and in fact it is real. Some of the concept characters people created and posted all over the net exist and are playable. Bot support so you can play with good "people" actually.

Wow, I remember those days, playing Archon, and Dr. J / Larry Bird One on One, and Bard's Tale on my old Atari 800....
I used to have the old Activision games on my old Atari 2600 too. Laser Blast, Pitfall, Kaboom...
Didn't play very many Epyx games, except for Jumpman... that was fun.

Actually it has happened just not by EA. Read my post just a few up. There's more maps in that youtube video and classes/characters and it uses the ut2004 netcode where you just /connect to people. The only real problem is they don't just let people play, you have to know someone or go through some screening process. Everything is unlocked. There's 80% more stuff too. I don't know all the details. Actually looking for Ultima Online Forever info led me to it.
