So I'm tired of all the threads going off in rants about how n7 is worthless and is no indicator of skill and how people that kick low n7 players are retarded.
So I've a better question; what is the point of playing with level 20 characters?
You waste exp, your overpowered character makes everything too easy and stale so it can't be for fun, the only logical answer would be to grind for credits, and if that is the sole reason you play, you may as well grind fbwgg all day... so the only reason you don't promote and watch how you get closer to 20k warassets (and closer to your secret ending) is to grind for credits in a behavior that many games have used to trap and sometimes kill people with questionable mental health...
Well good job in unlocking all the game has to offer (or breaking lots of crap in fits of rage because you are almost over 9000 level 4 consumables), how does it feel to know you are playing this game, for no reason other than a false sense of accomplishment? because you surely ain't doing it for fun.

To me nothing beats changing playstyles as you level up; is great to play the asari vanguard sniper at level 1 and then switch to asari cqc with a claymore at level 10.
Adjusting your playstyle as you level up, and trying new builds from scratch is as much fun or funner than playing on the casino roulette and somehow win 5 times in a row, because odds say you won't have any fun, when you get a level 4 cryo ammo instead of the demolisher you wanted.
Ok, this isn't the first time I've read this ludicrous comment. How is it wasting exp? If my character is level 20, I don't NEED exp. That's like saying I'm wasting a flu shot if I turn one down because I've already had one. Constantly promoting may be fun for you and might make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside as you watch your n7 rank rise, but I have my characters how I like them. Furthermore, if I want to try a new build, I can simply use a respec card since I know it will be replaced very soon. I got my n7 up to 420 and quit promoting a long time ago. I could easily be over 2000, but my ego isn't rapped up in that number. Besides, I've played random matches with players with n7 ranks over 1000 that were absolutely worthless in the match. All of that promoting and leveling doesn't seem to have made them any better with their characters. Either someone knows how to play their character or they don't. promoting has nothing to do with this. I pay more attention to their weapon, mod, gear, and consumable loadouts than I do their n7 rank.
