Demon Firesage?
Ceaseless Discharge hand-to-hand?

I hope someone gets this.

nah the worst is Ornstein and Smough

The Four Kings make snorlax and pikachu seem like actual pokemon once you get to NG+.  The timer + un-dodgable magic attacks are far worse than anything they have.  Plus, they were the only boss I flat couldn't beat on my own with my dragon cult dude's claws.

Ohhh the pain!  But that was more because the game only gave you crap for cards for most wins.

I personally vote any planeswalker difficulty AI in MTG:DOTP  for cheapest.  The games devs programmed them to be able to literally draw the card they need whenever they need it.

I think that the cheapest enemy in ME3 multiplayer is the average PUG.

Im in cover with a banshee on the other side of the map. I kill a cannibal from cover>banshee ports from out of nowhere to instantly behind me. Litterally one second later I react and turn around to see what the hell is happening behind me. Banshee grab>dead

Human reaction time cannot compete with insta port behind cover from other side of map>grab
In the history of gaming, what enemy has been cheaper than this?

Well, the title doesn't specify game, but I'll throw a couple in.

Minion from Twisted Metal 2
Vermillion from Battle Arena Toshinden
Bison from SF2

Absolutely cheap, and horrible to fight in the hands of a moderate player. Absolutely game breaking in the hands of a skilled on.

Oh god.  I totally forgot about that.  Karn in the '12 iterations.  Banned cards are banned for a reason, Mr. Tinker a mox for a Darksteel collossus on turn 1. :pinched:

Anyone who thought that Banshees/Geth are the cheapest enemies have obviously not considered old fighting games. They quite literally read your moves and counter at times faster than any human could react and have abilities so ridiculous the Reapers would be humbled.

Jump attack? CPU performs an anti-air in 1 frame of your attack.
Any ground attack? CPU performs a super within 1 frame of getting hit.
End up next to opponent? CPU performs a complex 720 grab instantly.

And don't get me started on fighting game bosses.

ME enemies do that too.  Toss a grenade at a phantom and she's got her "talk to the hand" bubble up before you can blink.  And anything that dodges projectile biotics... meh.

I still say Markov is the worst I've ever seen.  I played SF2 when it was new, and M. Bison has nothing on him.  That's the only game I've hurled a controller over in about 10 years.

True.  But I've made it a point in souls games to beat both NG and NG+ at least once, because of how the diffulty ramps up.   If you really want a challenge, I feel like they're the hardest boss I've faced in literally any game once on NG+.  And, if nothing else, NG+ is worth trying for smiting the first few bosses, since they end up laughably easy because you're so over-geared.  Hilarious one shotting the asylum demon with a +5 lightning murakumo or mowing down Phalanx in demon's with a moonlight sword.

True, but fighting games did not have a Geth Plasma Shotgun, or a Cobra Missile.

This is why you don your ugly ass Havel's or Stone set and go mano-a-mano with them.  If you're close enough, they won't use magic, do watch out for the grab, though.  Your heavy armor and poise should absorb much of the punishment.  Other than that, just chew on some Greens beforehand and hope like hell your DPS is high enough to kill one before others show up.

Also, sunlight blade + BKGA + Power within + red tearstone ring = hilarious plunge on Asylum demon.

Also also, this thread is getting de-railed super fast.

Best counter to that was Path to exile, I used to mulligan until I had one.  But then he drops a Clockwork Dragon, wormcoil engine, and then another Darksteel Collossus before you can get any steam going.  Makes me scream.

Nonsense.  The OP asked about other cheap enemies and the wording pretty clearly implied other games.  We're totally on topic.  For the thread, maybe not the forum.

Phantoms. Hand cannons that can take you down in 3-4 shots while closing in for a sync kill.

Yeah, white or blue had the only counters- path/pacifism/unsummon.  Some decks just don't beat him if he gets a nut draw(which, as the AI, he can do anytime he's in a bad mood, which is all of the time).

Eh, it's a thread for jerk enemies, I think we're okay'd for talking about other games.

And you're pretty much spot on for the strategy- that's about the only way to beat them after a certain point, just have to be a monstrous tank while having the most possible damage.  But man... trying to beat them hours after hours with my dragon-dude.  Little range, no weapons outside of bare hands, no armor.  It worked on everything else, but they just had too much health.  Closest was using power within to ramp my damage, but didn't have enough casts to get through the fight. :crying:  Still a ton of fun though.

I haven't played extensively with the dragon stuff, I'd imagine the stamina-breath thing would do decent damage, though.

nerfers....
the weekly balancers....
tehehehe.

skimmed though the thread didnt notice if anyone said these yet; really surprising if no one has yet.

seriously though for me it is the:

Geth Rocket Troopers with their ak-47 rocket launchers.

also Geth Hunters with their ability to shoot while in stasis, staggered, frozen, floating, or laying down. plus not to mention their ability to shoot stunlock then melee stunlock a krogan to death in seconds
