I think it's funny how they say it *won't* change the ending, because the EC wasn't supposed to change the ending either, but it did. The concept and context of the ending is the same, but there were several changes.

1. You can now shoot the catalyst. Some may say that this is just an extension, but it is a change.

2. The Relays no longer catastrophically explode, just the inner rings break apart.

3. The Normandy's engines no longer explode when the blast from the citadel catches up with them.

These however small ARE changes, they aren't just clarifications, so forgive me if I don't believe the tweets and comments about no changes. Any change, however small can have a big impact on how the ending is perceived.

I still have a sneaky suspicion that BioWare is hiding an ace up its sleeve, that there is something more to all of this. In any case they are doing a great job of keeping people interested in a game months after almost everyone would have tossed it on the already played pile and put something else into the tray.
