Trying to use the N7 Shadow effectively but just can't quite manage it, going after Infantry instead of bosses and using Electric Strike when faced with a line of enemies or Cerberus Turrets.
Trying to stay mobile (difficult when my teammates either camp like ****es or are too busy being pinned to do damage)
Going to go with this build, don't have an N7 Piranha yet and I have heard that the shield drain and extra barrier/armour damage are broken.
Any tips?
N7 Shadow help.

Shield drain works fine for me on xbox. I haven't experimented with extra armor damage, but extra shield damage made a marked difference for me. I play on Silver though, so any advice I offer is suspect. Best wishes.

On what difficulty are we speaking, cause I have a build fully focused on the strike, armor damage though, cloak setup for first strike max damage too, kill anything that ain't a brute, ravager, atlas or banshee in one shot, and because I branched the cloack into being able to use one power in stealth I usually have 1-2 seconds to get to safe spot, by that time both skills have already recharged, it's how you stay at the top scores without being a lame electric slash spammer.

Silver usually, because my friends only go Gold to farm FBWGG.
Finally got Piranha, this thing is a pile of crap
Thanks you all for your replies, Shadow would be so much better with Incinerate instead of SS.
Armour damage FTW.

Yeah piranha works best when you use it with the destroyer just like the typhoon works best when used with a destroyer.
If it had incinerate instead of SS then I probably would just play one of the engineers, my style is built around the SS, I tend to avoid electric slash spamming.

Destroyer + Piranha + Gold = carrying the team until I get surrounded in the objective zone.
Gonna respec my Shadow for pure SS and Tac Cloak support as soon as I find a goddam re-spec token.

My Shadow relies heavily on SS, Tax Cloak specced for max damage and extra power so I can get two in before cartwheeling the hell outta there while I recharge. ES is for emergency or crowd control and also wearing bosses down a little for that SS coup de grace, so only four in that (damage).
On Silver almost everything is OHK, including Turrets, Ravagers take two, plus a pop or two from my Talon (with melee attachment, of course). Bosses as stated, just wear them down a little with ES cloaked, Brutes I like to play matador with, just for kicks:-)

I use 6/4/6/5/5 buid bases on Micah3sixty's buid http://social.biowar.../index/13279446
Tactical Cloak (6): Duration, Melee Damage, Bonus Power
Electric Strike (4): Damage
Shadow Strike (6): Damage, Electric DoT, Shield
Shadow Training (5): Power Damage/Capacity, Power Damage
Sword Mastery (5): Melee Damage, Martial Artist
Weapon: Carnifex X + High Caliber Barrel + Melee Stunner
Equipment: Stronghold Package or Juggernaut Shield
Tactic: Hit and run / acrobatics
With a good team, we finish every Silver u/u match in 15 mins without medigel or missile.
Gold: Cerberus is easy with Shadow, your priority is deal with those phantoms/ nemesis/ engineer first, leave the Atlas in the end.

Agree with all you're saying there, ruby. Haven't gone Gold in a serious way but getting there.
I see my team role as taking out the mid level enemies: turrets, Nemesis, phantoms, guardians, ravagers, marauders, rocket troopers (lord, how I hate them...) etc.
Thoroughly recommend that 6/4/6/5/5 build, discovering that was a turning point in turning the Shadow into my go-to character.
