My Stone Prisoner DLC stopped working (patch 1.2, Impulse distribution). When I talk to Shale in the camp, I get teleported into a broken location (outside of camp?) and I only have the "activate Shale" dialog that doesn't do anything. I noticed the problems after loosing the Warden's Keep map location, the loot chest and my favorite weapons. The game worked pre the 1.2 patch.

This official post (http://social.biowar...58/index/294757) does describe my symptomps but my product key is registered and it shows up.
Too bad I can't post to that thread. I'll just spam this one [smilie]../../../../images/forum/emoticons/wink.png[/smilie]

I have checked my old saves and it looks like my DLCs were "corrupted" much later than the 1.2 patch. It occurred around the time were I used up all my save slots and started overwriting existing saves. Off course, this may be just a coincident.

Same problem here with Shale, and my product key is registered and showing up. What the hell are we supposed to do?

Getting the same problem here too. Just not talking to Shale seems to work but it'd be nice to see the camp dialog.

there is a workaround for this involving the console. i believe it is a sticky

That's hardly a solution. It seems like at any time your content could become broken and the only way to know is to run back to camp and try to talk to shale. Why the hell would I buy more DLC in the future when it could cease to function randomly?

I've successfuly uninstalled and forced a reinstall, through the in-game downloader, of The Stone Prisoner, and it didn't fix anything. We really need an answer on this, because we had CD-keys installed and it's still completely broken.

I also tried the fix described in this thread social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/58/index/480021
"If your DLC isn't pirated, uncheck it, force load your saved game. Save to a new saved game. Exit to menu. Log out of the EA server. Re-enable the DLC. Log into the EA server. Load the new save. This "should" force an authentication attempt, but may require multiple attempts to resolve."
It fixed nothing.

All my DLC worked again after I
- reinstalled patch 1.2
- checked that the DAO update service was running
- logged in and out of EA.
Sadly, all my post SNAFU saves are still corrupted and I had to go back quite far.
I received the following advice:

The solution given here lead to Shale dissapearing completely from the game. The area I found him however was still available though nothing could be found there.Elsewhere on this forum I found the follwoing solution, that actually worked for me!

I found a solution to this on youtube of all places, but I can confirm that it works. I jus did it myself, and could talk to Shale afterwards.
1. Make a shortcut to the "daorigins.exe" file on your desktop. (located in the Program Files/Dragon Age/bin_ship folder)
2. Add the line " -enabledeveloperconsole " to the end of the shortcut, without the quotes.
3. When in game hit ~ (½ on some keyboards) (you won't see the console but it's there).
4. Type in the following: runscript zz_shl_debug
5. Press enter
6. Click on "Hire Shale"
7. Click on Exit/Cancel
8. Save the game. You can now disable the console if you want.

For me, he appears an an X on the party camp, but when you go there he is nowhere to be seen.
I've attempted this fix but to no avail. The developers console doesn't work.
