Probably Destroy for me, though I do feel bad about the Geth and Edi being killed.

Destroy as that has been the goal of the game since Shep first saw Sovereign. No twisted and circular logic in the last 10 minutes of the game telling me Synthesis is 'preferred" was going to change that even if they did shoehorn in the killing of the Geth and EDI with the Destroy ending just to make their precious "artistic integrity" more palatable with Synthesis. At no point in the game was my goal to impose some forced genetic manipulation on the galaxy so I can have some creepy green glowy space utopia by making everything alike when the entire premise of the game was to unite the galaxy with strength from diversity. Then there was Reject End which essentially said, "Oh, you don't like our logic and wish to question and challenge us? Fine, you all die. F U!" Control, though not a choice I'd personally chose is at least within game lore as it's clear that's what TIM wanted even at the end of ME2 with the controlling of the Collector Base. Destroy, all the way for me though I do wish it would at least provide a end that didn't require head cannon but if they did that there'd be little or no reason to chose BW/Star Child beloved Synthesis Ending. Pity, this game had such a golden opportunity to be the game of games with a epic ending that achieved victory by destroying the Reapers as was intended and had a conclusion for Shep that didn't require head cannon as video games are VISUAL MEDIUM!!!!! Ugh... head hurts now thinking about it. Rant done.... for now.

I would put money down saying that most of these responses will be destroy.

It depends on who I'm role-playing.

Paragon usually picks Control. Paragade/Renegade usually picks Destroy.

I pick Synthesis when I'm high.

Technically I picked every ending, since when the EC came out, I did them all.

Since not everything I ever did was related to the Reapers, I'd say my Shepard has always been fighting for galactic peace - upholding and promoting it. Therefore, I saw synthesis as the option that aligned the most with what I've sought out to do since my Shepard became a Spectre (and onward). If the Reapers can help and are not truly responsible for their crimes, who am I to deny them? If they can contribute and help advance us further through their vast knoweldge, we should accept them.

Control would be my #2 option, as I see it as a lesser version of the same thing. I don't hate Destroy but do have issues with it. And Refuse...

In concept refuse is my favorite, although since everyone dies, that really puts a damper on my willingness to go with it. So I just have a multiverse, where I headcanon each ending. Control and Destroy get the most attention though.

I wouldn't call refuse good, but it's the closest my Shepard gets to being my Shepard, the whole Picard speech etc.Telling the brat to shove it is also a plus for me.

I'm kinda torn between destroy and synthesis. On one hand, I spent the game helping EDI understand what it means to be human. I did all I could to keep the quarians from killing the geth (or vice-versa). For that matter, I rewrote the heretics instead of destroying them in ME2. It's almost out-of-character to wipe them all out in the end. I also consider the long and short-term effects on the quarians trying to re-settle their homeworld without geth help. Perhaps I'm condemning them to extinction as well.
On the other hand, putting an end to the reapers once and for all has been my goal through the entire trilogy. Sacrificing synthetic intelligent life to make that happen is a tough choice, but the right one. Mordin would understand.

My first time through, I chose Synthesis. I guess at the time, it seemed like the better solution. I didn't wish to control the Reapers but I couldn't bring myself to destroy the Geth and EDI. Synthesis brought every one under the same the banner.

Second time? Destroy. Mostly because Shepard lives and the IT made it out to be the right choice.

After the EC came out...I'd still pick destroy. Yeah, it sucks killing the Geth and EDI but there's a line between Shepard and Vakarian on the Normandy that really shined a light on the whole Reaper War for me and it's something that I will always agree with.

"Ten billion die over here so another twenty billion over there live."

Ah...ruthless calculus....

Destroy, because since Carrie Shepard found out about the Reapers, that has been her main goal. Kill them now, kill them till they're dead!

Control

Ruthless Calculus is bull****.

Also Garrus made my Shepard a saint.

Control

In control the only thing sacrificed is Shepard. The Geth and all synthetic life is saved unlike in destroy. Also each race gets to keep what make them organic, unlike synthesis. Shepard taking a gasping painful breath in a pile of burning rubble is not alive to me.

In control, Shepard becomes the eternal guardian of the galaxy, which is what he was in his life. The Reapers were a Milky Way threat. We don't know what else is out there, but the Reapers under Shepards Control will be a great force for good. The Reapers are simply a tool of a flawed machine, not the menacing genocidal monsters we thought.

In my mind, control is the best way for the galaxy to move on and pick up where they left off.

Conceptually, my preferred choice would be Control. Without even factoring in the survival of EDI and the Geth, I like that Shepard becomes something bigger than himself/herself and ultimately uses the (once genocidal) Reapers to rebuild and restore order in the galaxy. The lack of significant collateral damage, and the fact that the Citadel is completely intact doesn't hurt either. Also, assuming the whole "synthetics will always rebel against their creators" thing is true, AI!Shepard can always intervene and crush the uprising with his/her Reaper armada as well as protect the galaxy from any other major threats.

Though, My canon Shep picked Destroy. Mindoir screwed up his moral compass more than he'd care to admit. He's already sacrificed Alliance lives to save the Council, killed 300,000 Batarian colonists, and sabotaged the Genophage cure. If wiping out all synthetic life will stop the problem at hand and let him finally adopt babies with Kaidan, he'll do it.

That being said, I would like Destroy more than Control, but IMO Control is a lot more intriguing with its implications and wider range of possible outcomes.

My Engineer was a sympathizer towards Synthesis, but I think I prefer Destroy at this point. Let organics choose their own path and overcome the synthetics if it gets to that point. Life came together and united for the Reaper thread. We can do it again! Let organics forge their own destiny.

I hate when people say the goal was to destroy the Reapers all the games and stuff.. I've always felt that was impossible and the goal was simply find a way to stop them from destroying everything. I feel a lot of people who chose destroy give all the same lame reasons and really only chose it because deep inside they just want Shepard to live.. or they're Renegade and could care less for the Geth and EDI (in those cases I understand why they chose destroy)

...I however knew I was gonna die. I went with Control. Synthesis kinda confused me, never understood it.. seemed a bit interesting but when I saw the green eyes it scared me

Control because I was paragon so I knew I wouldn't become a dictator of the galaxy and would either protect it or fly the reapers into the sun. And I was happy with it because I didn't headcannon or over think the EC. I simply went on what was told to me in game and it looks like everything is fine in the long run.. unlike destroy where it's made clear a new threat will rise I believe.

Destroy. That has been the goal since the first game. I have issues with control because how can you be dead and still be you? That doesn't make sense. Synthesis I have more than a few issues with. EDI;s whole "I am alive." speech implies that synthetics weren't alive to begin with which means killing them shouldn't make me feel bad. Also the forced evolution. From the first game when we learned about the genophage and the Krogan we learned that because their evolution was sped up they turned into the angry warlike people that they are now. So wouldn't forcing everyone into evolving have similiar consequences?

Refuse followed by destroy but man I love God shepards control speech, both versions. But refuse is my favorite. Shepard gets to be who she always was, its the only ending that actually belongs to me. The rest belong to the writers and since they gave us the original endings fetch quests and artistic integrity they can go **** themselves with a cactus.

LOL.

Destroy because the others have it in my mind the reapers are still winning. In the convos with the starchild Fa* he claims to try to be doing synth and if you think about it, thats what reapers are. sucks because it kills edi and the geth when I brokered a peace between them and the quarian,

refuse option would be my second.
