Does cunning go towards equipment and what not or do you need strength?

You will still need strength for gear. 20 is recommended but they need not all be hard points, several items have +all attributes and +strength on them. The requirement is only to equip an item, once equipped it will stay on no matter what happens to the attributes afterward and the character will still retain all the bonuses from having the item equipped.
