So I heard about the Extended Cut, so I downloaded it and booted up ME3 to see how it was.
I'm deaf, so I rely completely on subtitles. Normally this isn't a problem. However, subtitles were disappearing instantly as soon as they appeared both in incidental dialogue such as Shepard and Anderson's banter while Shepard is moving through the dark room on the Citadel filled with human bodies, and in the ending cinematics. It worked fine in the conversation between Shepard, Anderson and Illusive Man, as well as the cutscene where Hackett realizes Shepard reached the Citadel. This was a bitter disappointment, as I hated the original ending and was hoping for some closure. Can't feel it when I can't read anything because it disappears a nanosecond after appearing. How do I fix this?

I'd begin by repairing the installation. In Origin, right click ME3 and choose the repair installation option. Just to be sure, try it with the extended cut as well by going to ME3's list of installed addons in Origin, right clicking the EC, and repairing that as well.

Tried repairing both the base game and Extended Cut. Didn't work.

Maybe you have to go all the way and reinstall the whole thing, but I'm just guessing at this point. This is the first time I've actually read about this issue.

Maybe it has something to do with the graphics cards - did you try updating the drivers? Other than that I fear you might have to search on youtube for the scenes to see if someone has the subtitles on.
