I think if you read the description of the weapon it will tell you that it is for skilled marksman only. The only issue with the Crusader is the difficulty aiming it, since it is so freaking accurate.

It is a great weapon that deals a lot of damage. The cool part about it is if you can't use it you are going to blow chunks with it. It is for advanced users only. Similar to the Hurricane without any stability mods.

Anyways, I always use it with my Vorcha soldier, since he is melee heavy and has flamer, he can deal with things up close easily, but sometimes he needs to be able to take cover and shoot from a distance. I prefer having a shotgun on him, for the melee mod and burst damage, and the Crusader fits the bill perfectly since it is effective at literally any range.

I can make it work. I just can do better with less effort if I replace crusader with something else.

It's not hard to hit with it. About as hard as hitting with a Paladin or Carnifex or Saber. The problem is that it's so freaking heavy. And doesn't ignore shieldgate. I want a shotgun for close to mid-range. If I wanna snipe i'll take a sniper rifle or a pistol. Or a Claymore on a GI.

It's really not that bad. Certainly doesn't deserve all the whiny comments in this thread. Higher damage than Saber, quick reload. Recoil, weight, and the hip reticle are the main bugger parts, but it's manageable. There are plenty worse weapons you can complain about.

The Crusader is actually a pretty decent weapon. If I had it leveled higher I would definitely use it more.

That thing massacres enemies in the hands of a good player.

It is not much different than the Saber with a armor piercing mod, and the saber does slightly more damage, is slightly more accurate, and slightly lighter therefore the saber is a better crusader.

Just because you can't use the gun effectively doesn't mean it's a horrible gun... it means it doesn't fit your style of play so stop "trolling" for nerfs.

Personally, I love the Crusader. It's one of my top 4 favorite guns, especially with a Turian Solider. The N7 destroyer also gives it the added bonus of stacking 5 clips per magazine as well as increased fire rate. I've got it up to V, and it pretty well wipes out anything that gets in front of it. I don't believe you can really compare it to the claymore, since you get one shot with the claymore - reload... fire - reload... fire - reload...

I can practically take out triple the enemies in that time...

Seems some people like it how it is. Nothing wrong with that, although I can't really think of any situation where I wouldn't rather have a scoped talon (a real sniping shotgun).

Well yeah.

But still, Crusader is just a super heavy Paladin that you can't even level up.

Use it for a change of pace on lower difficulties.

I agree that I am bad with Crusader. I did just fine in silver with that gun, but I am absolutely not confident bringing that gun to pug gold game.

Incorrect! While the paladin is a good gun... it is an orange. The Crusader is also a good gun... and is an apple.

Crusader is fun to play with. I like using it on my Desyroyer against cerburus. Destroys pretty much everything accept Atlases if you are good at headshots. Take your time and make your shots count. Nothing more satisfying than seeing heads explode. I would only use it on classes where power recharge isnt an issue. It works great from behind cover. Line up your shot on Nemisis and Phantoms taking cover and aim for the head. Gaurdians take 1 shot in the head through the sheild. Really fun and challenging.

...and I'll take my apple over the orange, also depends on the character you're playing. ;)

That orange doesn't have innate cover penetration.

Regardless, the Crusader still sucks.

It's a terrible weapon.

No scope and a high recoil means its long-range purpose is.. pointless.

It's *decent* up close, but even then it's tricky because there's no pellet spread.

And it weighs a ridiculous amount. It needs some serious reworking.

It does OK with a Destroyer. Use it for boss killing stuff like Brutes and Atlases and other slow, high HP targets. It provides decent sustained damage in this role.

The gun is fine (not good, but bearable) as it is, but as a promotional weapon it can get a buff to rate of fire to make it a lot better.

It is a head shot weapon only. That is what makes it difficult to use for most. You are wasting your time with it if you think you can just body shot away.

I like to use it to mix it up. But yes, not my go to weapon of choice when I am not messing around.
