But would never use it on Gold or Platinum. GPS, Claymore, Piranha & Reegar out perform this gun by miles

What is the link between the gun and cryo blast?

The Crusader actually has no redeeming qualities, except for poorly filling niches that other weapons can fill better upon receiving them.
It is far more common then the Palidin, and the Saber.
Getting an ultra rare, versus 1/4 time getting a crusiader from a commendation pack.....
Doesn't justify the crusaders power level being crap, however.

Paladin > Crusader.
Given the acurecy and rof are greater, yeah the paladin is better.
The Crusader is more accurate than the Paladin.
But a Paladin weighs less than half as much, has a higher RoF, and a Paladin X shot does more damage than a Crusader shot unless your Crusader is rank V, which is when the Crusader will out damage it... by 12 points. (both are using extended barrel)
96 points at rank X.
Pathetic

No direct link... it's accuracy with a scope & distance allows you to break frozen enemies for kills.
Try it with a GPS and you'll get less ice explosions

I got it. I thought you were talking about an actual cryo explosion... Made me confuse.

I actually use the Crusader on platinum. Insanley accurate, fast reloads, and natural armor penetration is a description for a good weapon. Used on a soldier class, brutes/pyros/ravagers/guardians are disposed of at a very fast rate. It seems like this gun is being reviewed by casters.
I play every class.
My Saber X is superior to my Crusader II in every way imaginable. If I want a ridiculously heavy boss killer gun for a soldier, I have a Typhoon IX that I could use instead. If I don't feel like fighting over the ammo at the nerfed ammo crates on Platinum, I can use a Particle Rifle X with Incendiary Ammo IV, which will destroy a Platinum Atlas from full armor in one clip.
It's not that "the gun is being reviewed by casters" its just that there are so many superior options, which also just so happen to be lighter.upinya slayin wrote...

I always said I don`t like Eagle... but I recently tried out Crusader and feels like this weapon may be worse than Eagle.
So.. Crusader is a shot gun that works like a sniper rifle with no scope and high recoil.
Why would a player choose to use obesed Crusader when they can simply choose one of Saber, Valiant, Carnifex, and Paladin?
Is this weapon.. another one of those poor man`s variation?
Nerf it.
last
night my friend challanged me to use the human female engineer with no
power but combat drone and only weapon as the crusader. I do u/u/g and
got condor and ceberus. I came in 1st had 20 headshots with it and had
over 140k so the gun isn't garbage. just have to know how to use it
I could score over 140k with a Phaeston vs Cerberus on Gold, but that doesn't mean the Phaeston isn't woefully underpowered.
The Crusader is easy to use: Aim at head, then shoot. It's not an issue of player skill with me, it's an issue of my Saber X being superior in almost every way. It's lighter, does more damage, has a larger clip, more spare ammo...
its not about being undepowered its about whether its a good gun or not. it is a good gun regardless. most weapons are usable on gold. the game gets stale if you do the same thing over and over. part of the fun is using different stuff not the most powerful stuff everytime

Fun, and personal preference are irrelevant when talking about efficiency. I never said the gun wasn't Gold viable: all of them are... but it sure as hell isn't even close to being optimal. this thing needs a massive buff to be competetive with the Saber, or Paladin, let alone have it's own unique niche.
Also, this just in: The afformentioned guns combined will only encumber a character with 10% more weight than a Crusader. If that doesn't speak volumes, I really don't know what to say.

Crusader is also excellent with Javelin in giving you -200% cooldown.

The Crusader is more accurate unless fired from cover, in which case they have about the same accuracy. The Crusader has more recoil.
And like I said earlier, the Saber's lack of AP capabilities are easily mitigated by an AP mod. If you use an AP mod on a Crusader, you'll have better cover penetration, but you would either lose the advantage of damage, to the Saber, or sacrifice a ton of spare ammo, again giving the advantage to the Saber.
Yet when fired from cover you still need to wait for a while for the sabres reticule to retract. and if you use ap mod on sabre, you sacrifice something else. Slap on a choke 5 and barrel 5 on crusader and it is a beast.
Lost all credibility.
Carry on.
Just out of curiosity how much does the Choke 5 affect accuracy on the Crusader.
If I saw that pic right it was something like 5 so 2.5?
And what would that drop off even mean?
I could shoot a microbe from 500 yards?
It doesn't even matter, because the smart choke is used to reduce pellet spread.
.... The Crusader does not shoot pellets. It shoots a single slug with pinpoint accuracy.
Using a smart choke on a Crusader would be like using an enhanced scope on a Javelin.
"When equipped with a Shotgun Smart Choke(Lvl 5 seems to do the trick) the sniping capabilities of this weapon sky-rocket. This will give the gun maximum Accuracy. "
I understand smart choke tightens the spread, but it also increases your accuracy stat significantly ( which I assume means the shot is less likely to stray off course at long distances).
Wiki also says the gun has inherant armor piercing...which is handy
I love how people neglect the effect of the accuracy stat on it

pretty much, they dont even know the difference when using the gun with smart choke or w/o... apparently.

not exactly. weapons are good in their own way. if you are gonna be up close to everythinig sure the pirhanna is better but if your gonna be far away the crusader is better then the pirhanna

This! I guess you use the Crusader if you don't have a Saber... but otherwise, why not just use the Saber?
